I've been to every match down Stoke since they were promoted, I don't think it's unfair to expect a little bit of success. If you're happy with mediocrity maybe you'd be better off going down to watch the vale? Us real supporters on the other hand want to see our club do well. Real supporter you say...fook off plastic fan....We all want the team to do well especially us whove been there during the darkest days and to say get behind the team, were you there Tues night mate or wasnt that good enough support to the players.... How does wanting sucess make me a plastic fan?? Some people are unbelievable

I'll just carry on with my small time mentality if that's allright with you and if that means holding Man City to a draw in the league without mentioning that it was 12 v 10 then long may small time mentality keep rolling on. tazi ignore the little twat hes a fkin 3 minute hero when hes been to some of the shittiest grounds on the coldest days then listen to him but kinda think if the worst happens he would all of a sudden be a manure fan I gave up supporting man utd to support the mighty potters. Having given up going to old traffored once a year to support stoke instead...after having made that sacrafice I think I have the right to expect some success. It takes commitment to give up watching Rooney week win week out to go see Sidibe instead

your no stokie mate go back to man ure we dont want your support thanx I take it your another one of these fans who'd prefer to sit in mid table and have a half empty ground. Meanwhile, us true fans want some success and to actually attract supporters so we can sell out every game. You ever considered supporting the Vale? they seem like your sort of team

That wasn't the point I was making, I was responding to the fact that I was told that the fans who "jumped on the bandwagon" as it was put, should all stop going down. Seeing as you seem to consider "jumping on the bandwagon"to be supporting the club since they were promoted, that would leave us with a half empty ground if everyone stopped going which filled that criteria. If that's what you want, then I'd say that would make me a better supporter than you, seeing as I actually want some success. Why shouldn't we challenge for a Europa league spot?

Let's face it, we all know a former Man United fan who has conviently stopped 'supporting' the Shit and gone along with following Stoke since we got promoted (I know at least 3) and then think they have the divine right to just show up and demand success.
I prefer a full stadium for sure but sometimes I can't help but think where were you when we were shit?

If we played as well as we can and probably should, then we'd be challenging for Europe, not hanging round mid table

These things take time, and if you try and rush it, it sometimes it comes back to bite you in the arse. Think Charlton for example.

I've seen games this season where we have beaten the top sides. But instead of thinking why can't we go out and perform like that every week, everyone seems to think we should just be grateful we ever managed to get the one win and odd draw against the big sides. We were up there earlier in the season, but instead of thinking why aren't we still up there, everyone just seems to be happy that we were ever there for a short while Until we start thinking like a big team, we won't be finishing any higher than mid table

Look at the people above us and their spending habits, we can't afford to splash out on some of the players Tottenham buy or Villa. We just don't have the finincial clout. Don't get me wrong, I think we can get into the Europa League in the near future but at the moment it just isn't feasible. We are going to stay up by an absolute mile but there are so many positions that need sorting before we can aim higher. Trying to over-spend in a vain effort to get us into Europe for 1 season would be a disaster! Stoke need to play it cool and when the team is ready, then progress. Tony Pulis has a vision for the future and I trust him to deliver it.

- A stoke fan is BORN and not made by choice. - Its drummed into you from day 1 that your a stokie I was there as a young lad in the Vic Ground wiping away those tears when Gary Parker volleyd that ball into the back of the net in the play-offs, where were you? Spunking off to Manure? Liverpool? Arsenal? Chelsea? Lazio? Juve? AC? Inter?
Fuck off i can smell the plastic a mile off ...

Surely it makes me more of a fan that I've given up watching a top champions league side like man utd to go and watch Stoke instead. If you've seen Stoke in the lower divisions, what you're watching now is almost a novelty, something to enjoy. But to go from a side that wins week in week out to go and watch Stoke, you've got to admit takes real commitment

You my friend are plastic, saying that you gave up supporting one team for another is not an option in my eyes, id go watch the egg chasers maybe you'll get more sympathy there

It's making the trip to Plymouth on a cold mid-week night. It's watching the club struggle in the second division play-offs and still renewing your season ticket despite staying in a shit league. THAT is commitment. Not watching Man United on the tele is hardly a massive sacrifice is it?
