Do we miss Ab Faye? Are we worse without him?
I guess not if you look at our points tally, however it's never as simple as that.

No, he has had a poor season, and others have performed a lot better Ok for the bench

The Faye of this season, no not really and the other two look a bit more solid if less flamboyant. Any team would miss the Faye of last season though and if he can shake off the niggles and get back to that form then he'd be straight back in without question.

No we are not missing him at the minute, the orther four are doing a sterling job of things in his absence, he has looked very sluggish and off the pace for me this season, still love the bloke though but would have him on the bench from now on as cover.

No, Huth is playing much better than him this season without a doubt
If we can get him back to full fitness we should let them to fight for a place next to Shawcross at CB

Based on his form this season absolutely not. I would say we've missed his distribution from the back, but even that's been suspect this season when he's played. Let's just hope he can stay fit and find his form from last-season, and force his way back into things and produce the form we know he can.

In Ryan, Huth, Faye & Higgy we have four very capable centre-halves, who'd hold down a place in the teams at any mid-table club. Faye, on his day, is probably pick of the bunch, but he doesn't have the years left in him that Huth and Shawcross have. Either way, I never worry about the heart of our defence anymore.
It's a good position to be in. I just wish we had the same depth down the flanks.

It's a testament to the strength in depth we have in that position that we are not 'missing' one of our best and most feared players. At the moment 'it aint broke' so no need to mend it, but if we do need any running repairs in that position, it's nice to know that we've got Abdy waiting in the wings to come back.
Seriously, the rest will do him good because he will be needed before the end of the season and a nice, fully refreshed Abdy could just be what we will need.

if you want to tell Abdy he's not being missed thats up to you!
for me its stretching it to say he's has a poor season
he has had poor games,he's also had a few decent ones.
be happy to see him tonight

When everybody is fit, we should have our 4 best defenders on the pitch.
Huth - Shawcross - Faye - Higgy

In a word, no.
Great to know he's waiting to come back in though or cover in a game if needed.
Tone does enough fiddling in midfield w/out doing it for the sake of it in the back4 - the others (not inc Collins) are doing just fine.

I think he is a cracking defender on his best day and would easily walk back in to the team also he is very good at causing trouble and scoring from set pieces.

tp has allready said that he thinks wilko needs a rest, so expect the big man to be back with huth moving to rb. dont think that would be too bad to be honest

JUst showed the bad side of his form. I think we're screwed now - big unbalancing of our set up.
