I believe we have 14 games left. To stay up, assuming 40 points will suffice for safety, we have to win 3, draw 1 and lose 10. If anyone bets against us staying up, they must be bonkers. OS. OS - dont wish to disagree with you but this is rather a banal statement. Every game is a battle. Name one team who we will turn up at and they roll over? Man City - can beat us on their game Pompey - deserve more than they have got and have nowt to lose and they thumped us at their place Arsenal - depends which team tips up Fulham - away crap - home great - we play them at their gaffe Burnley - see above, even more so Villa - beat Man you away Spurs - lord knows WHU - I dislike them so much they will win Hull - toughie Wolves - hey they beat Spurs, twice Bolton - nope, cant find one thing re why we shouldnt beat them Chelsea - no comment Everton - will have first 11 by then - they just beat Chelsea by the way Man you - at their place

I just can't get us to be bad enough, consistently enough, to go down. Our worst 6 game run was 2 from 6, which took in some unlucky performances including H Birmingham (a point would have been fair) and Villa away (ditto).
Even that form repeated over 14 games would see us on 35 points. We would have to have some pretty bad luck with injury (two main centre halves out, say, along with Fuller and Ethers) to be that poor for 14 games.
Given we can pick up points now and then away, and have enough about us to win a couple of home games, I am not worried. TP is because it's his job to be, and that's fine.

I would say we're safe now, but I hope the players and staff wont, because complacency could cost us. Pulis wont let any of the team get complacent until we're mathematically safe though, even if we took 9 points from our next 3 league games and found ourselves on 39 points before March. The target before this season started was survival, to stabilise ourselves in the division again, once that target is achieved we can look to progress on our 12th place finish last-season and dare I say challenge for Europa League places ?!

I'm certainly not relaxing. If we need anything going into those last three games we could be in serious trouble. I agree with Suffolk.
