We went for a week in late February in 2008, the weather was spot on and got the best tan I've ever had, very hot but was a very fine breeze. We stayed at a hotel in Jandia in the south east part of the island, there was fuck all there, a 45 minute walk to Jandia which was good for nick nacks, fags and booze. Was a great little English bar there showing matches too.

A bit sparse but if your going for the weather then your spot on.
Best to go all inclusive as there is really fuck all in some of the places.
All in all we enjoyed it though.

Really nice around the coast, depressingly disadvantaged inland, and very, very windy.

Went two years ago, stayed all inclusive at Jandia, weather was good, not much to do really. Went on a trip round the Island and saw everything there was to see. Prefer Lanzarote or Gran Canaria!

Caleta de Fuste is alright. If you just want to lounge on the beach and stuff, then it's fine. There's not much to do on the island if you want to go out and about and see stuff, but we've been twice and had a great time.

We went to the Florida Villas in Caleta de Fusta in 2003, before they developed up on Chipmunk Mtn. It's spoilt the view in a big way. Along one of the main roads, there's a bar called El Capitans, the drinks are/were always doubles and much cheaper than in your digs. It was great back then, went back in '08 and it's been developed quite a bit. The beach isn't too bad and the sea was great. I used to feed the fish bread, they swim right up to you!! Some would even take it from your fingers. If you can get up to Corralejo you should go, although it is a shit hole. The best beach is Olivia beach, about a mile and a half outside Corralejo. You actually go passed it on the bus from Caleta! Be careful if you're shy, there's a nudist beach along that way too. I'd go back, but the wife wouldn't. To the island I mean not the beach!!! The local bus prices aren't too bad and much cheaper than hiring a motor. If you can afford it, there's a Submarine trip you can go on, from Caleta Dock. You should take a look on google earth.
