I don't think he has to if all of Stoke, Hull and Sonko agree to terminate his loan contract, just as it stands Stoke are refusing to do so so he has to stay at Hull.
His game at St,. James' was probably his best for Stoke. If he goes there on a permanent deal it will be good to get him off the wage bill, but they have just signed Williamson from Pompey.

If its a loan deal then I agree with Stoke playing hardball because his wages are being paid anyway, if it's a perm deal don't risk jeopardising it and get him gone.

Firstly, am i right in thinking that (if it's a perm deal) it's between just us & N'castle? (OK Hull have to agree to cancel the loan but that's like agreeing to win the Euro millions isn't it?)
If so, we should snap their hand off.
Secondly, (and if true, it is tribal football after all) am i right in thinking that Chris Hughton has gone stark, staring mad?
