The pitch close to the dugout where Wenger was actually did look a bit worn I can only presume even with undersoil heating the rain and saturation of water in the ground will have had a bit of an effect. No excuse really though, they couldn't bring the ball down because they didn't have the space. Their right back didn't know what to do when Etherington went to him soon as he got the ball and made many many mistakes.

I think we should pull the pitch up when we play them in February and just make it a Baseball Ground style mudbath.
