One fat puffin muncher does not make a season....

Gunnarsson was superb first time around with stoke. He had great spirit for the team, shame that he thought going to forest would put him on a different level to stoke.

Agreed, He got bombed out of Forest then managed to sort his head out at Watford and reading. Very good player who never achieved his true potential.

Superb performance from Brynjar tonight. Well worth a squad place could cover full backs and would be a far better holding midfielder than Diao .

If Brynny can give their defence that many problems the Lenny, Ric, Tuncay and Ethers SHOULD have a field day ;D (I hope )

Para is right, Brynjar is now too old to take a risk on - even as cover. But last night's display shows just how good a player he has been. How many other players can play equally well at centre back, right back and in centre midfied? It is a crying shame that when he came back briefly on loan from Forest he was out of form and unfit and did not earn a contract offer. We could have done with him at Stoke over the past 5 years or so. He could have covered several positions where we have struggled to find anyone better.

Other than that awful miss, I thought Jobi McAnuff looked proper decent for Reading.
Tin hat on but I wouldnt mind someone like him at Stoke, quick and tricky, not bad for a winger?
