Top bloke is Ted. Had a few laughs with him and his merry mob of southerners. Had tea at his house once, a shrine to Stoke City overlooking Millwalls training pitch in Bromley ;D
Does he get on this board? Would love to catch up with him at the Watford game.

Not sure if any of you guys can get a message to him at the Burnley game but tell him Jon, is back for the Watford & Blackpool games.
If he struggles to remember which he no doubt will, tell him I was living in Canary Wharf for a few months, played pool in Penge with him and abused Palace pricks, started Delilah at the Charlton win in 2000 on his say so, and gave his son a couple of freebie tickets up to Stoke from Euston courtesy of my work.
I'll be in Wetherspoons on the high street in Watford by noon. Would love to see him there. I'll be on the Wharf Friday and saturday night too.
If anyone is able to get in touch send me a personal.

IS this the same 'Ted ', who at the friendly in Hannover a couple of years back wanted to start a bit of argy bargy with some Hannover skinheads....
"Lets ave it" and then proceeds to fall flat on his face on the landing mat behind one of the goals....?!
Absolutely PRICELESS!
Good sausages if my memory and ringpiece serve me right!

Calgarypotter, I should see Ted tomorrow but by the time I'll be too pissed and would of forgotten all that ;D Judging by some of the comments he ain't changed much. If you get chance to speak to him great. If not it sounds like its nailed on he'll be milling around one of the pisshouses on the High Street.

Calgary, Is meeting up with me and the others not enough? Don't worry Ted'll be in the same boozers as we go into. I've sorted everything else out for you. We're into Watford at 11.20 on the train. We've also got Mr Prince along.

Of course, were you with donc' and si at Barnsley?
If so I met you in that sports centre before hand. Donc will have regaled you with the story of us climbing through the gardens, or Si wuld have told yo about the day I got hit by a copper on a police horse. Both happened at Barnsley.

We've also got Mr Prince along. Boxing Day last year seems a long time ago mate. Can't wait for it. Me and the big fella are bouncing ready for it. Half the office has marked the match dates in their calendars Booked into the Britannia on CW yesterday for the friday and Saturday nights so we will be in Watford at the pub by noon. Prince's in too is he? The missus will have liked that one

nothing I was just joshing.....
Like a lot of stokies I know a lot of people at the game either by first name, nickname or simply by sight , due to the era I started following the club...know very few by their usernames on here
Most of the people mentioned on these two similar threads are 40+ , many were around when 200 was a regular away following, so stands to reason a lot of people mentioned are from a span of 30+ years and know each other from those days , they then introduce them to a wider circle of match day friends.
Years back , ...especially at the iffy places almost the entire following would know each other, at least by sight, older fans tended to look out for the youngsters, and so even the youngsters who travelled regualrly would get themselves known..in a good sense , that happens far less these days
With all seater stadiums many people will go a great many games these days and not come in touch with anyone other than thier own group

We are all in the 40 plus club and like you say you really do get to know all the faces at away games and make good friends like Zigger,Roger and Mary,Ted and all his mates and the Banbury lads which makes it all worthwhile.

My 'hat still goes off ' to the two disabled lads...Saw both at QPR...The elder one [with the beard ] still on crutches...Our younger friend was walking without his, and the QPR steward was very keen to put him in his seat when he saw him resting against the anti crush bar in the School end....just attemting to get his breath back...! Top Blokes....Ultimate respect...

Basky, Brittania mate, bloomin eck. I lived in there for about six mnths last year. It's gone down hill. Get a room at the front high up. I'll also know a couple of interesting local boozers, one by Millwall fire station to take your mates into. Stay away from the Quays and get real down with the islanders
