since been dropped he has obviously got his head down and worked hard to get in the team and we look far better with him in there. Also a mention for sidibe's goal, higgy bombed up on the flank and got in position to set mama up

Greta game apart from being invisible when Duff scored the first, nowhere near the ball when the shot for the second was made and putting in a series of rubbish attempted passes. Not a premiership full back in any dimension, reserve centre back yes

Just wish in training they would spend just 5 minutes on defenders learning to chest a ball down when no one is within 20 yards of them instead of heading it anywhere, and also that they play the ball to feet to the nearest Stoke player, rather than hit too many long balls when there isn't an opposition player anywhere near them.
A few times lately Higgy has just panicked and headed anywhere when he could have chested it down and they just passed it. Top defenders do this all the time. If he could work more on calming himself down and not panicking, and just passing to another stoke player he would be a lot better.
When i watched the game back i could also hear Tone screaming at Higgy 'steady' when no one was near him and he was ready to launch it. Has played well of late though.

I don't think he had his best game last night, but I still prefer him to Collins.
There were a few groans when he performed his customary hoof up the channel last night, but on most occasions he had no other option available...

It was no surprise to see Ethers switching wings after Higgys opening 10 minutes. He may well win the ball with a great tackle but hoofing it 40 yards diagonally up the pitch when you've got an in form left winger playing in front of you is just plain madness.

Depends who the opposition are. If It was a home game and I expected us to do most of the attacking then at the moment I would go with Collins, If I knew we were gonna be under pressure then I'd go for the more defence minded Higgy. But I will not agree that Higgy has improved any 1 jot, his 1st 2 hoofs last night proved that. A left winger needs his full back to help him not overlook him.

Higgy's distribution is the only thing that lets him down, i.e. he is prone to punting forward on a regular basis. To be fair, he may just be doing what he's told.

I agree Higgy did really well last night. At the moment he is doing well to keep collins out. However I wouldnt go as far as to say he should be skipper.
