Interesting little 'development'. I have just heard that Tony Scholes is on holiday at the moment.
Could be a key reason as to why the Nash signing has been delayed. Perhaps his 'replacement' Eddie Harrison isn't quite experienced enough to carry through these deals?

Scholes does seem to take great care in the timing of his holidays - NOT!

Why in Gods name is that idiot on holiday? What's wrong with May/June time? This man grinds my gears to the max! Plus how many holidays does he need?

Surely his holidays are best taken when the transfer and loan windows are closed? I suppose he would say that it doesn't suit him to take them then but many of us have worked in jobs where we only had a few windows of opportunity to take holiday.

I'VE heard he has been into a Turf Accountants in Preston and came out with a large bundle of cash....Hope he hasn't got any connections there...

The end of May is the best time imo. The season has ended and transfers are slow then and don't really start until June.

in all fairness, even when on holiday loan transfers can be completed, I remember with wigan a few seaosns ago, Whealan was on holidya and he ahd his phone switched on throughout his time away. I reckon that TS might do the same!

After Preston TP said he was going to speak to "Steve" about Nash. This is obviously Bruce, which would suggest the hold up is at Wigan's end.
