OK, TP seems certain in his own mind that we need a new keeper. Fair enough, Simmo isn't quite commanding his area as he should be and perhaps needs a good old fashioned kick up the arse
What about Everton's third choice Iain Turner? With the Nash deal continually stalling, perhaps we shoudl turn our attentions to a younger performer (24) who has already done well in this league (for Sheffield Wednesday).
He is highly rated at Goodison Park, and is unlikely to demand the rate of wages that Nash is (which seems to be the problem).
At 6ft 4in he should be dominant in the area. He played 11 games for Wednesday and they didn't lose one. If he came here and did the same we would be pretty happy!!
Just an idea...

WHAT!!
What about Plymouth's youth team keeper or Ajax number two or Brentfords reserve keeper.
You're talking about replacing one of the best keepers in this league with Evertons number three.

Well Nash is Wigan's number 3 and Fulop Sunderlands number 3.
No top flight team will let their number 2 go out

Simmo was once Everton's number three. It doesn't mean much.
Turner was outstanding for Wednesday last year and would be great competition for Simmo.

Fulop is a top class keeper who could replace Simmo,Nash on the other hand is only going to be number two here.If a new keeper arrives he needs to be challenging for the number one shirt.

Fulop is a top class keeper who could replace Simmo,Nash on the other hand is only going to be number two here.If a new keeper arrives he needs to be challenging for the number one shirt. I'm not sure about how he saw Nash fitting in. He could have taken the easy option to recall Hoult , but tellingly didn't. The fact he's looking at the keeper area at all must mean he's looking for a new starter. I know he hasn't played for a year, but he may well have seen Nash as a probable No.1 - and the PNE fans seemed to think he was one of the best keepers the've ever had. It's going to be hard to get people to swap one bench for another in a lower league. Surly he would only have come for games? Judging by the comments of that Eddie Harrison bloke in the Sentinel yesterday, there must still be a chance of Nash turning up here. If it's just down to us paying a higher percentage of his wages, there must be a chance Pulis will manage to twist the arms of the people that matter if he makes it clear Nash is the one he wants for 12 crucial games. STOKE City were in talks with Wigan today about the stalled loan deal for Latics keeper Carlo Nash.City had planned to complete the move yesterday in time for Nash to be in the squad for last night's defeat at Preston.
However, the clubs failed to thrash out details of the loan in time.
City's football administrator Eddie Harrison said: "Wigan had one or two things to sort out, so we weren't in a position to do it in the time.
"We were ready at about 1pm but, as so often happens with what looks straightforward, these things can crop up.
"I have spoken to Tony Pulis and it is being revisited."

Why talk about a Dutch goalkeeper, becuase we aren't allowed to bring in a player from a foreign league anyway.

Wasn't he the singer in Mott the Hoople?
Strange choice if you ask me- perhaps Les McKeown of the Bay City Rollers instead or the guy from Mud who looked like Rodney Bewes.

Foster is making his comeback for Utd reserves this week isn't he? Why not get him back for the rest of the season and do both a favour.
