More comments from TP and foyle at the above link where he also says - "Some people have suggested that we should have come down overnight, but we left York at 10.15am and we felt that gave us ample time," he said.

York manager Martin Foyle believes that Rory Delap's long throws could be the weapon that keeps Stoke City in the Premier League for another season Why is that shite? It's what Pulis believes. There can be no other explanation why Delap plays.

It was a bit nippy today, and slippy under foot, so I fully expect that ex-Vale hypochondriac to have:
swine flu Torn achilles dislocated shoulder the bad aids
by midnight tonight.
Get well soon, Mard-tin.

always traffic jams on M6 and M62 even in good weather so with the snow which was predicted by everybody seems crazy to leave departing so late. Also load of crap about Delaps throws keeping us up

What a load of old tosh about the throws.
I said before k/o that they should have left at 9am. I was surprised they came down the M62 and M6 anyway. Coming across the Pennines in snow and down the notoriously bad traffic stretch of the M6 wasn't the brightest idea was it especially as there were roadworks aswell? I googled it when I got home and the M1/A38/A50 route is exactly the same distance and surely posed much fewer risks of snags? I do this route frequently to Sheffield and from the Brit it takes 1hr30 to the centre of Sheffield, so probably another 1hr/1hr30 to York. Typical coach drivers choosing the most complicated/daft/least sensible route that very few others would choose.
