The downward spiral... he'll be at Walsall next year then...

merm: I don't think Walsall, with his recent history with that club. (The pre-season friendly and the ball incident.)
However, I do see what you mean. Good luck Mr Hendrie.

True, sorry about that ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif) There's always Vale. It's really sad though, if it wasn't for being so cocky he'd have a couple of good years left.

Do you remember Mandaric came out in the summer and said he had signed Hendrie for Leicester?
Seems like he has eventually got his man!

Do you remember Mandaric came out in the summer and said he had signed Hendrie for Leicester? Seems like he has eventually got his man! Indeed, makes you wonder why he & TP didn't get on better really? They are very alike in that respect anyway.
But hang on, does that mean Bobby is at the Brit, pen in hand, right now as we speak?

I'm a bit surprised Pulis didn't go for him, when you think back to how disappointed he was when Sheff Utd outmuscled us financially to get him last summer.
Hendrie Deal Done Posted on: Thu 28 Feb 2008
Leicester City today completed the signing of Lee Hendrie from Sheffield United on loan until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old playmaker becomes Ian Holloway's eighth signing since arriving at the Club in November and goes straight into the squad to face Cardiff City at Ninian Park on Saturday afternoon.
The former England international joined the Blades on a three-year deal at the start of the season after an impressive 14-year stint at Aston Villa.
Hendrie also enjoyed a successful loan spell at Stoke City last season - where he played 28 games and scored on three occasions.
City boss Ian Holloway said: "Lee has a quality that Leicester City want in their ranks. He had a great season while on loan with Stoke last year and he is a player that can unlock a door for us. He will help the team.
"I spoke to him on Wednesday and he is a very motivated individual. That is a trait that I like. He will add to the group.
"In my eyes he can play wide left, centre midfield and wide right. I am really looking forward to working with him."
Hendrie made his senior debut for the Villains in December 1995 and went on to have a glittering career at Villa Park. He was a big part of the England under 21 set up during his youth - receiving 19 caps at that level. He also has one full cap for his country to his name.
All in all Hendrie made an impressive 251 Premiership appearances for Villa, scoring 27 goals.
He joined Stoke City on loan in September 2006 and became an instant hit with the Potters fans. He was recalled to Villa for a brief period in January 2007, but joined up with Tony Pullis' men once again on transfer deadline day until the end of the season. Hendrie's contract with Villa ended that summer, and Sheffield United won the race to his signature in July.
He has made 14 starts for the Blades to date, scoring on two occasions. He has been handed the number 35 shirt by Foxes boss Holloway. [/color]

Vey possibly but 1. he's "damaged goods" to a heck of a lot of Stokies after last time and 2. he's done the square root of fook all @ Sheff U except keep the physio's bench occupied.
Wouldn't touch him with a pole barge (slightly longer than the pole obviously).

Whilst I was a big advocate of him staying last season, it's probably a good thing we haven't had him back. The dressing room seems to have agreat attitude and someone like Hendrie could fuck it all up.

good point that RAF . I was going to post that I would have liked him back as he could have put pressure on Cresswell plus covered other midfield area's with our ban's coming thick and fast but I take your point and think it's probably for the best that we didn't get him .
