Yesterday, the side that started was almost right. Well, certainly better balanced than some recent ones. A couple of small changes and I reckon we're about there with our current squad. For me, I'd go with this team for the next few games and stick to it. Sorro. Wilkinson - Shawcross - Faye - Higinbottom. Tuncay - Delap - Whitehead - Etherington. Fuller - Beatty. No need for a man in the hole: a straight 4-4-2 and use the wingers to create chances rather than a big man knocking on hopeful headers. Why no Lawrence? He's too petulant and protesteth too much. Why Fuller after his lethargic appearance yesterday? Because he's da main man and will be a different player if he's given top spot rather than being a bit player. Opinions, eh. OS.

I haven't written Lawrence off yet OS. He was crap yesterday though for sure, but I still think he will bring more than the alternatives and I think it's a waste of Tuncay to see him out wide.
Fuller and Tuncay has to be worth 2-3 games to see how it goes imo.
Otherwise I completely agree with what you've gone for. Toss up between Huth and Abdy at the minute though.

It must have been only errr yesterday that you were saying that it was only me who didn't want Lawrence in the side.

It would be nice to see Tunny tried out on the wing, god knows he's not tall enough to win the amount of hoof's to him.
Regarding Fuller- I couldnt give a monkey toss if he is the "big dowg", he should put every effort for HIS team and his team mates. His attitude stunk yesterday.

i thought whitehead did ok yesterday, id still like to see a playmaker alongside him. for me tuncay will be best utilised up front with ric, give them a few games together and see if they can a partnership

OS - I would tinker with the team slightly compared to yours - but that is all about opinions.
I do totally agree that he needs to pick what he thinks is his best team, and subject to injuries stick with that team as much as possible. Brum show what can be achieved with the same team regardless of who they play and what formation the other team has. We did as well near the end of last season.

I agree Liam needs a run of games again to get his game up to scratch. Tun and Ric up top could be the answer.

Birmingham have had the same team for the last eight or nine matches, but Pulis has to change team and tactics depending who weare playing, don't know if anyone has noticed but its not working.....oh i nearly forgot...in tone we trust....

Wouldn't be disappointed to see that team week in week out OS.
Our success last year was built around a consistent XI who all knew their job, why not go back to that notion?
