What a surprise. We have 2 tough away games away at Villa and Man City which has resulted in 2 losses and the wrist slashers are all out.
I think the more realistic supporters amongst us would always class any points out of these 2 games as a bonus.
The fact is we came away with 0 points out of these matches. But for me, possesion wise these have possibly been our 2 best away games during our whole time in the prem.
At Villa we were very unlucky not to come away with anything and enjoyed plenty of possesion. The manager went with the same team and despite having plenty of the ball against Man City, we just weren't good enough in attack.
Clearly we are lacking confidence in front of goal. But FFS, lets keep things in perspective. We have 2 home games coming up and the January transfer window to give us the chance of freshening things up a bit. There are signs that progress is being made. It's not time to start slashing wrists. We aren't adrift at the bottle of the table or anything.
We need to start SUPPORTING our players and be realistic with our expectations. The negativity from certain areas of the crowd can have the ability to rub off on players and doesn't help confidence. Last season we were united as one. We need to do the same again this season and not rest on our laurels.

Agreed ITAITG however we're lucky that we're not in the bottom 3 and need to push on now that there's a few winnable games coming up. My biggest concern at the mo is the lack of goals and we have to start Ric and Tuncs and drop mama as he clearly isn't good enough at Premiership level. We now have 3 games coming up that we can and on paper should win. Fair play to Brum they're doing really well though they've had some breaks however I'm still not convinced they're that great if things start going wrong. Nothing less than 4 points will do. Thankfully they're should be other teams in far worse shape than us in the PL in the new by the sound of it. West Ham - On the point of bancruptcy may lose all there best players. Pompey - Transfer embargo plus the posibility of losing O'Hara. Wolves - Poor squad despite a few promising results. Wigan - no money may lose Rodiega. Burnley - no money poor squad and stopped winning at home. Bolton - no cash and Megson has lost the fans support. Blackburn - On a par with us but no money to spend.
