Every time we lose a game there's a sensationalist reaction on Praise and Grumble and the messageboard. Yes, it's disapointing to lose away at Man City. It was also disapointing to lose away at Arsenal. It was particularly disapointing to lose at Aston Villa, because it was our best away performance since we got promoted.
The general reaction from Stoke fans is ridiculous. We've had a difficult run of away games. How many of you really expected us to win them? People on here really need to get a sense of perspective.

I agree that fans calling for Pulis's head is wrong as things aint that bad but in the same way people aint thick barstewards just for pointing out that they think the manager got things wrong today and that the players just didnt perform....

The midfield is woeful and you can count Whelan in that too. ridiculous not to play Lawrence today and Fuller too.
We need a win against Birmingham or we are in a scrap that we shouldnt be in given our earlier success.
We seem to have lost the plot

Didn't we create enough chances last week at Villa and today? I'm not sure its the creating thats the problem, it's the finishing ? Bar tuncay's attempt in the first half I'm struggling to remember all the chances we missed. tone expects 100% finishing if he expected us to win today. not even torres scores from all of his chances FFS correct

We seem to have lost the plot Lost the plot or played the last two games AWAY against opposition which could finish in the top FOUR and while at it played some very good football and should have at least got one point in one of those games? I would say it is some of our fans which have lost the plot.

I would say that you're too full of Christmas spirit, Prem. I admire your loyalty, but I fear it's misplaced. The facts are that we haven't won in 9 games, probably won't win against Brum, which I fully expected us to only 3 weeks ago, and nothing seems to be changing for the better.

Yeah whatever you say.......Cant you see that if Pulis continues to play certain players out of position and keeping the more creative players on the bench we will struggle to score goals. Is that thick enough for you? Didn't we create enough chances last week at Villa and today? I'm not sure its the creating thats the problem, it's the finishing ? So stop playing useless fucking Sidibe. He doesn't win the ball, hold it up, pass to a team mate. Don't even mention the word striker in the same breath. He's wank at this level so are those of us who prefer another forward alongside Tuncay thick? He couldn't finish a bacon and cheese oatcake.

Hustler - my mistake. You're correct, so that's ONE WIN in NINE games then. Against the bottom club.
At least I admit my mistake, unlike the manager.

While I am at it I will predict 9 points from the next 5 games. That will mean we only need 10 points from the remaining 16 games does this sound better or achievable Scrooge?

19 points from 21 games sounds achievable.
What great and lofty ambitions!

19 points from 21 games sounds achievable. What great and lofty ambitions! That will do me as long as we survive, the target is SURVIVAL and then push on. Remember that and you will be a good Stoke supporter, demand more and you sound more like a Man U supporter.

We were never the better team today. It was shite today and we deserved fuck all despite the chances we had. Not as bad as the Man Yoo game but getting there imo. I was shocked at how bad we were.

Prem - does almost 50 years support count as a "good supporter"? Or do I have to simply agree with you?
Hustler - I could write what you know about FOOTBALL in 3 foot letters on the back of a stamp.

no we shouldn't be looking to challenge the top 4, but asking to improve on last season in a league that is by and large widely regarded as weaker than last year, is that to much to ask? Especially with the amount of money spent over the summer.

Hustler - before this degenerates into pettiness, I'm not calling for Pulis's head, and I agree with you that some on here have been over the top with their comments.
However, the same can be said about his supporters who reckon he can do no wrong.
The fact is that we have the players to enable us to play a better and more creative game, but they lack - in the opinion of MOST people on here - the proper managerial leadership and acumen for that to happen.
I would never want you to be silent, but those of us with genuine concerns are unable to voice them without being abused.
I find that a little disturbing, and so should anyone who believes in free speech and an open forum.
Just for the record, I value your OPINION, just not your abuse. I don't care that you've smited me, I refuse to respond in like manner.

So the team that played Villa off the park at times last week is now not good enough even though up until the goal today we were the better team and AGAIN should have scored first. At times I hope Pulis gets sacked just so we can appoint some other manager and get relegated (obviously I never want us to do badly, but you get my point) Yes we finished way above expectations last season, but due to this we now have crazy expectations on here at times and down at the ground we start to boo our own players for passing the balls backwards to a team mate when no one up front is making a move Tuncay is world class and since he has started we have played better football, but we have lost both games. This place is so depressing after a loss, people selling there season tickets etc. GOOD, I say, we are better without you moaning clowns down the ground. Yes Tony's team selections may seem strange at times, but he has got us here, kept us here last season and until we get relegated and look like we aren't coming back up then we can look at replacing him. Until then shut the fook up and support the team and manager. Amen, have some karma

The moaners have most to say for themselves even though they are only a tiny rump of our support.

A few more bad results and I think you'll find you're wrong there. This manager has NEVER been a popular manager with all the fans and his support is ice thin. The majority WILL turn against him if he continues to play lesser players while freezing out those he has an agenda against. At the moment, he's losing us vaulable points while his ego plays silly games.
OS.
