I think we should help them. Help them become extinct, tell em bollocks and use power league like other pub teams have to.

I remember a Meet the Manager with TP once, where he said that we would be unlikley to loan players to Vale because Coates hates them. One of the first things he does on a saturday evening is look for Vales results - followed by Crewes. Maybe stems back to the days of Bill Bell - But Pulis made it quite clear that PC really really doesn't like our neighbours.

I really couldn't care less about them to be fair and if it's available then see no reason why we shouldn't let them or any other local side use it if it suits both parties.
To be honest I couldn't name you a single player of theirs or tell you where they are in the league. Don't get all this petty hatred. They're just some other football club to me.

ladyinred: That may all be true but PC is a sensible and intelligent man who would never let such petty sporting rivalries get in the way of acting in a responsible and moraly acceptable manner. I think most of us have a little more depth to our character than simply not liking Port Vale.

point of order:Vle Park was re-developed with several £m worth of grants over teh yeqars from various sources,no differnent to Stoke.
our stadium cost aprox £15m,the council contributed under £4m & in rent(over 10 years remember) & then PC deal to buy back they more than doubled their money.

MD: I think you'll find that was Pulis and the reasoning was that they were youngsters who might get stick from the Vale fans as they are Stoke players, particularly if they didn't come up to scratch. He didn't want to expose them to unnecessary pressures at a critical stage in their development. Nothing whatsoever to do with not liking Vale.
Also: Rudge and Pulis both played for Bristol Rovers and have worked together for several years. I'm sure Pulis would be only too happy to help out Port Vale with young players if not for the above.
