Apparently, Birmingham reckoned on 36 plus.
I think 40 plus and safety will be assured.
I only say this as I can see us being sucked into the dog fight even though we are playing (froma) far better than last season. We ain't getting the rub of the green though and sooner or later, if we're not careful, we'll be proving John Motson right.

we're 5 points clear of safety by half way. If we extrapolate that to a full season and pull another 5 points clear in the second of the season I'd be more than happy. People keep mentioning that we're only 5 points from the relegation spots, but how far away can you realistically expect to be? We certainly don't have a divine right to to avoid a relegation scrap. This is the premiership, over half the teams in the league will at some point stray too close to the bottom for their liking. Look at last season. Spurs teetered down there for a while, and two "established" teams got relegated.
I think by the end of the season we shall end up staying up comfortably, but that doesn't mean that we won't get too close for comfort to the bottom at some point.
