Quote from Friday nights Sentinel.....so the teams you have been picking for most of the season have been entertaining Tony, thats the last word that comes to mind,i thought results mattered more and that would have been your excuse for some poor performances,i will have to check the dictionary as the meaning of entertainment must have changed to hard working and dire,oh yes will someone tell Birmingham that you are not allowed to come into this league and play attacking football untill you have established themselves......say after about three seasons....

Well personally Ive found Tony's second tenure at the Brit highly entertaining.
When you are with the dictionary look up the definition for 'UNGRATEFUL' .....it may say something like 'see certain people on the Stoke City message board'.

entertainment for me is Stoke winning.
But I also had a sly arf/guffaw at Tony talking about us being "in the entertainment industry".
I hope we bore the pants off the nation on MOTD tonight, it's last match on, and we've won 1-0.

Hang on bowery, we've been openly critical of the manager's approach and selection and it seems by his more recent actions that he's willing to change a few things to answer those criticisms...

Points = entertainment.
All other arguement belongs to West Brazil.

The second half against Wigan was entertaining. But I'd have preferred a cak scrappy 1-0 win.

This post is the dour and staid. It lacks any originality, guile or panache and is anything but entertaining. Thankfully it has reaped some good results in terms of replies . The entertaining ends justified the lacklustre means. Well done.

Oh, I'll do it then.
West Brom, West Ham, Wigan and Arsenal youth team style tippy-tappy is as dull as hell. Big four matches are also as dull as hell, because there's absolutely no action because the players are too busy arguing with the referee or falling over. International matches are as dull as hell because they're like a hyperbolic version of a big four match.*
*These are general cases, obviously, before someone throws games like Arsenal 4-4 Liverpool last season at me.

Seriously folks,
Would you prefer to see us pushed deeper and deeper, defending for our lives, hanging on for a result,
OR,
an open, end to end contest like Wigan second half... ?

Nobody in the right mind would say Stoke are an entertaining side, and this includes all my mates who watch the match in Thailand with me and fall asllep. However we are still in the Premiership and i will accept this for the rest of the season. If TP spends another 15 million then i will demand for more pace and quality and i would expect the rest of the supporters to do the same.I dont expect to compete with the top 6 but the way we defended against Wigan,Portsmouth lately makes me think TP still has a defensive mindset

Entertainment doesn't necessarily mean good football, Stoke can be very entertaining when we're on it and bombing balls into the oppositions penalty box, and getting the ball out to liam and Ethers, but looking at it objectively we're not exactly entertaining to watch, especially this season, the football has generally been poor, but thats not really important at the moment, the first 2-3 seasons are about survival, if we're still playing like this is 5 seasons then you'd be right to complain about it .

It will take a return to League 1 and an audience of about 11000 and definately no global TV exposure to 'entertain' some people
