Now calling the CCC the "Fizzy Pop League" by a few people on the message board really infuriates me. Show some respect people. We're not better than supporters of lower league clubs just because we happen to be in the prem today. We are here in the Prem now, but for how long - who knows (and yes come back at me saying it's permanent, but we know the drop will come one day - maybe not this season, maybe not the next, maybe in 5, who knows). Calling it the "Fizzy Pop League" just shows the arrogance that demonstrates you haven't been through the pain of the last 20 years plus. It's the same arrogance that makes people despise the "supporters" of Manure and the other successful clubs. Rant over.

I think it has something to do with the name " Coca-Cola Championship " rather than an arrogance that suggests we look down on the teams in it. Could be wrong of course.

Apparently I do. Just don't want Stoke fans to be despised like the top club's fans because of a few people's arrogance.

If Millwall fans think it's acceptable to wear Galatasaray shirts at a Leeds game i think we can get away with re-naming a league for our own amusement.

it was called the fizzy pop league, way before we were in the prem, by others and by ourselves, i cant see the problem, who used the call the carling cup, the mickey mouse cup, everyone, and still do, does that show a lack of respect, ?? no, its supposed to be funny, a play on words, think you need a foo foo pill

I call it that because I hate Coca Cola's sponsorship of it.
It was much better when it was The Nationwide League because that had the benefit of not sounding particularly like a company's name, just like our own Britannia in relation to the stadium.

COCA COLA Championship = Fizzy Pop league because Coke is Fizzy pop...I called it the Fizzy Pop League when we were in it too.
I'm sure if it was called Tropicana Orange Juice Championship then we would call it something equally as catchy.

Most of us were calling it that when we were in that league anyway.
