Just wondered if anyone had any previous experience of this particular marathon? It's basically a 22 mile race where you try and beat a horse!! Yes, yes, I know a marathon is more than 22 miles, but this is considered tougher due to the terrain. Anyway, I'm practically starting my training from scratch for the race in June. Here is my site (yes, I know it's pretty gay but someone might be interested and it helps me log how I'm doing!) knowlesmanvhorse.wordpress.com/So yeah, wondered if anyone had done it before so they can give me some tips. Cheers ducks. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_versus_Horse_Marathon

Seen it on the box, you must be mad. I know a Geoffrey Allen, GA Associates, don't think he's the same one though that won the last 2 years though ;D

not sure but there is a man v horse v train race somewhere in wales. i believe that its quite steep in places and the man has actually won!! if your new to running/jogging dont try to do too much too soon. build your training up slowly then taper down as the race approaches, buy a copy of todays runner allways plenty of tips and hints for you in there. p.s. try to do a much training off road as is possible, save fukin your knees up like mine!! and good luck

best bit advice i can give you is to go along to your local athletic club they allways welcome any new runners it doesnt matter how fast or slow you are there will allways be someone there to help you along, most of them have club run nights usually on a wednesday then prob do a longer run on the sunday morning
