news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/stoke_city/8404916.stmJames Beattie row with Stoke is over, says PFA chiefStoke City striker James Beattie and manager Tony Pulis have settled their differences after their bust-up, says players' chief Gordon Taylor. It is alleged the pair had to be separated in the dressing room after Saturday's defeat by Arsenal. Professional Footballers' Association boss Taylor said: "We offered to help but the club said we were not needed." He added that Stoke had told him the incident was "water under the bridge and everything has been sorted out". Taylor continued: "These things have always happened in football when passions are inflamed but now the game is a goldfish bowl." The future of Beattie, however, remains unclear as BBC Sport learned on Tuesday that the 31-year-old was considering a move away from the Premier League club. Beattie has 18 months left on his current contract, having arrived at the Britannia Stadium in January, 2009. On Monday Stoke said they would hold an investigation into the incident, which occurred after Pulis told his players he expected them to train on Monday despite having previously agreed to give them the day off to attend a Christmas party. Subsequent reports suggested Beattie had apologised to Pulis but it emerged on Tuesday that this was not the case. He did not train with the rest of the Stoke squad on Monday, although he did spend around 30 minutes at the club's training ground before departing. Beattie became a big favourite at the club when his seven goals during last season's run-in played a significant part in keeping Stoke in the Premier League. And while he has only scored twice this season, in October's 2-1 win over West Ham, Beattie has still been a key member of a squad that currently sits in 11th, seven points off the relegation zone.

the headline is bullshit though. It claims the row is over, but the story doesn't say that. It merely says we've refused the PFA's help, presumably to deal with it in house.

It's a basic re-hash of all the latest reports on it, and is the BBCs attempt to stay in the limelight with the story. Nothing new.

Did you miss this bit then? He added that Stoke had told him the incident was "water under the bridge and everything has been sorted out".

That says "Beattie and Pulis agree to let the former go in January, and sign on somewhere else for his last big contract and signing on fee, since their relationship has irrevocably broken down."
Beattie has agreed not to rock the boat and Tone who now wants shot of him has agreed to let him leave. Everyone wins...except Stoke City...as Beattie is a quality player when fit.
