The Sentinel's cover-up piece suddenly looks pretty thin with 5 Live announcing BT's played his last game for Stoke - whose responsibility was it to handle the PR? Because this feels a real PR disaster at the moment and I'm trying to think of anyone it hasn't made a complete fool of, most of all the club.

I heard that report on 5live from Dan Rowan and as you say sal it does seem Beattie has played his last game for us if that report is accurate.

Who will be on the bench? Dare we recall Kitson, who after this, appears to be an angel! ;D

BTs' Solicitor involved? Say no more really. The writing is on the wall for someone. Shawcross should speak up as Captain of the team, put the record straight so to speak. BT was out of order, shit happens... etc etc.

Don’t you think this is just typical of the club’s terrible PR? Despite everything, someone is responsible, because something did happen. Whatever happened, it is now blown up in our faces & for fcuks sake lawers are now involved.(& that means money to be made) Stoke City are not looking very clever in any of this, we either have a manager who inflicts violence on his staff - or staff who are incapable of realising how lucky they are, they now whinge when they have to put in a 3hr shift on a Monday. Sadly the biggest loser is the Club – closely followed by us the fans.

If Pulis say's you're playing on Saturday then Beattie play's on Saturday because that's what he's paid a lot of money to do. If Pulis leaves him out of the squad, then he leaves out of the squad. Since the club have made no statement then we just don't know what will happen. Pulis calls the shots, not Beattie.

The PR at Stoke is shocking, not at all a Premiership standard.

If he is not in training for the rest of the week or fails to make the squad on saturday then he is on his way out by the looks of things.

We've improved tremendously in a lot of off the field activities but the lack of response to "major" stories from the Club is laughable.

Coates employs Pulis, so its Coates who calles the shots TP will do well to remember that. Just because TP thinks Uncle Peter won't scak him, doesn't give him thr right to act the way he has.

Whatever the club say, people on here will make a meal of like old women sitting knitting.
The Fuller/Griffin affair was blown up out of all proportion only amongst the midvives on here.
There shouldnt be any need for knee jerk shite. If Beattie goes then we as a club need a return on the investment. If we dont get it then Beattie plays on.

Good point but if lawyers and potentially courts are involved then you can't make public statements can you?

I think the club have handled themselves pretty well since promotion, and I don't think keeping quiet is the worst strategy at the moment.
Worst case scenario is that TP did hit Beattie and that Beattie decides to press charges with a room full of witness evidence on his side. Gross misconduct, anyone?

Normally I'd prefer all this to be dealt with in house. However, this case is so high profile the club should tell us something about whats gone on. And the truth as well not some cheesy photo with BT and TP shaking hancds.

No.....If you've got skeletons in your cupboard then you wait until nobody's looking and then bury them out of sight.
I don't think Beattie will stick around or apologised. My names Gough and I'm fcuking off.

. Shawcross should speak up as Captain of the team. Abdoulaye is the club captain, Shawxy was just filling in while he was out.

This should have been dealt with in-housebut i think it is a bit too late for that.a statement should be made by the club so this can be put to bed.If Beattie going means regular place for Sidibe i really really hope he stays
