Would you swap Whitehead for Eustace?
I dont have a vendetta with Whitehead, just interested on thoughts.
Personlly no way, but wondered if some would?
(he's having an average game tonight)

If Eustace had stayed injury-free for his career he would've been a regular in a Prem midfield, so a fit John Eustace at his peak would have been as good or better I think.

At the time I loved Eustace. He gave everything on the pitch, and he could actually pass the ball which as we all know isn't often the case with Stoke midfielders.
A good player during his time.....but his time has gone.

Eustace at his best and injury free then yes obviously. Not that Whitehead is a bad player I just loved Eustace when he was with us. Was gutted when he left us.

Nah thats a bit extreme swapping Whitehead, he isn't that bad guys.
As for Eustace, I wouldn't want him back now in a playing capacity, that ship has sailed.

At his peak (and that was far too short a time) Eustace had the potential to be as good a midfielder as we have had at Stoke for 30 years. Sadly his appalling injuries took their toll and Whitehead sadly is now a better player.
There are some similarities though - Whitehead will never have Eustace's skill but both of them have a hell of an engine.
