Thinking about buying a home for my lad and his girlfriend , i am looking to spend no more than 80,000 , where i am going to get the best bang for buck ? , what areas of theses 3 places should i avoid ? . My choice would be Stafford.
Thanks in advance.

most bang for buck would be in stoke, best bet would be castle, and can you buy anything bigger than a shoe box in stafford for £80K ?

I'D WANT MORE than 60,000 to live in Cheddleton.
Comberbach is bad enough ...but Cheddleton ..nahhhh.

Thanks Northwich i have been looking at homes already on that website. Ilford you will be suprised what you can get in Stafford . What i would prefer is a newish 2 bedroomed flat. I know there are good and bad areas around Stoke and Stafford , i'm just not sure of all the places to avoid buying.

Castle is certainly the best investment for the next few years imo, as near the middle of town you can get (or maybe Thistleberry or Wolstanton), you should get something needing work for that money.

I would look at Newcastle as your best option. Both in terms of investment and place to live.

If people post avoid so and so they may get slated by people from their.
But generally ares to avoid would be the higher letter post code areas
A is the lowest risk
ST Stoke-on-Trent 1, 4 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . D* 2-3, 5-8 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . C 9, 12-14, 16, 18-21 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . A 10-11, 15, 17 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 'B'
don't buy in Oldham ;D
OL Oldham 1-5, 7-9, 15 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . F * 6, 16 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Refer 10-14 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . E *
edit - meant to say that is one of the insurers list. I'm sure there may be others about.

The list above shows much of Newcastle as a 'C' area along with Bentilee and Ash Bank.

What is Birches Head like ?

|
Post by jonesinamillion on Nov 28, 2009 1:56:48 GMT
Birches head is decent enough. Stay away from stafford, it's just a motorway junction!
If you can stretch to £100K you can get a great property in the highlane area of burslem / tunstll/hanley with good transport likns and ameneties on your doorstep.
If you have the money (ie cash / no chain) available, drop me a pm as I'm aware of a high end 3bed semi on the market for £145K that I KNOW would go for A FUCKING HELL OF ALLOT less; great investment that I can't quite aford :-(

Best Places to buy....
Knypersley...Newchapel.. Brindley Ford ...Biddulph.... Mow Cop.
Avoid the riff-raff in Newcastle and especially Woolystanton.
