360 Question: "Red Ring of Death"

I've aquired a Xbox 360 but it has this ring of death problem with the red light showing.

Is it cheap to put right?

Wouldnt trust myself opening it up mate, and its 2 years past its warranty, would Microsoft take it back?

i have opened mine up, but its now fucked. a week after ;D im still sending it to microsoft, all they will do if they dont repair it is send it back

just type in the serial number on the back of the console, then ask for repair with the 3 red light

Wrap a couple of towels over it, turn it on let it overheat. Turn it on, it SHOULD work if not do it again then it will work.

will only work for a couple of days though, best to repair it properly yourself or let the twats repair it
