After reading a bit lower down about Blackburn offering a free pie with every pint-but then someone saying the pies are horrible anyway-which are the best pies you've tasted at away grounds?
I'll start with the one's at Norwich, can't remember who made them but they were lovely.

The best pies are at Preston. Ask Jon Parkin, that's why he went there ;-0

thats the place... i used to live in that converted wharf opposite there and used to frequent the pub over the road.. the way that guy wields the ice cream scoop for the mash and peas is a site to behold.

The best pie I have had in a long while was actually at Blackburn, but in the pub, not in the ground - Hollands pies.

Sheihk , i worked in Alexandria and in my job visited all the ship chandlers in Balmain and around the docks and a weekly visit to Cockatoo Island. Harrys was on my to do list twice a week which probably accounts for me being the fat twat i am now.

Oh yes, pez. hollands are lancs pies, best one ever was Rochdale away a few years back (promotion season league cup, lost on pens?) But Burnley took it to another level that season (0-0, disgraceful PHWS antics on that day) and had the pastry in the pattern of a ball. Oh yes! Can now but Hollands pies in Lidl Tunstall!

the Desperate Dan pies ay Mad O'Roukes Pie Factory in Tipton are ace. They have pastry cow horns sticking out. Also in Alderley Edge, Weikopfs shop in the main street sell quality pies with thick chunks of meat and rich gravy. They're shut on a Monday and Tuesday though for baking!

Spot on Chunky - the best steak pies ever.
Good Wrights meat and tater pies at Vale to be fair.

Pukka pies are by far the best wherever they are sold. Surely you're joking? Collapsible mush around goo best sums up puke pies. I've lived in Notts and Lincs for 25 years now, and I have to import Wrights Pies because of the Pukka Monopoly over here.
