It's actually quite sad and depressing to think that there are some fans who think that Tuncay has been given ample opportunity to show what he's made of in the brief appearances he's made to date. Any player needs a decent run to show their true worth to any team. Over the past couple of seasons plenty of our players have shown what a good contribution they can make with an extended run in the team. Delap showed it in our promotion season after many of us had written him off, and Matty Etherington is a prime example this season. Tuncay's worth can't be judged on ten minutes here, and fifteen minutes there. Like everyone else he needs a decent run, but sadly I have my doubts that we'll see it happen. Excellent post....It wanna so long back that we had similat shit being wrote about Lenny too. Tuncay just does not fit in to Tony's system he does not have a definitive role in his game plan and that is so frustrating knowing that he is a decent player but will never get the chance to prove himself in a full 90 minutes in the prem.

And let's not forget that at the start of last season there were plenty who would've had Ryan Shawcross shipped out on loan after a dodgy first game at Bolton!

If Tuncay was a Hull player and Brown had substituted him seven minutes after coming on, everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) on this message board would have ripped the shit out of him. absolutely spot on. It wasn't the right thing to do, however you dress it up. Ludicrous. The fallout will be felt long after today as well...

I think we all need to show a little maturity and put today's result into perspective. Yes we don't agree with Tone taking Tuncay off, but to say you've lost all respect for the man that took us from the middle of the Championship to ninth in the Premier League on the back of it is just petty and small. he can say what he wants. Petty and small it maybe, like Pulis' formula for winning at Hull. Must have his gameplan written on the back of a stamp.

Tuncay hasn't had enough time to show us what he can do yet.
He has every right to be disappointed with the Pulis' decision but it doesn't make that decision an incorrect one.
It was one of those sad things that happen when you lose a defender from being sent off.
When the dust settles, Tuncay has to understand this and equally, Pulis has to show the guy a little bit of love.
It's not a crime to want to play.

Pulis needs to sort out the discipline in the squad and fast. He may have a frightening looking bench in the next few weeks when you consider we have Ryan, Glen and Ric on 4 yellows and Whitehead and Diao on 3.
Arsenal and Villa could be sickening if he doesn't address it and fast.

When is the cut-off point for Tuncay though? When does it actually become necessary for him to HAVE to leave the club? Also, when is the cut-off point for supporters to demand for him to be included in the side so that we can see for ourselves his ability? We contribute to the club as much as anyone else and surely have a right to see our £5million player actually start a game!
In over two months, despite being fit to play, he has failed to start a single Premier League match, only trusted with a start in the League Cup, and suffered the ignominy of being introduced as a sub for the last 10 minutes of an important Prem game only to be deemed surplus to requirements after 7 minutes!!
If he doesn't fit into the Pulis plan then there are some serious explanations required as to why we have spent £5million pounds + considerable wages on this guy. Surely Coatesy should be a little concerned as to how this money has been spent? I would also think that Tuncay would want an explanation / apology based on his career being put on hold during this time.
In summary, either play the guy so that we can see if he is up to it, or get rid in January and we'll all try to forget about this sorry situation.

First Kitson gets dropped for an unfit Beattie to regain his place, now Tuncay is humiliated in this manner. It appears we have a manager who is clearly not interested in accomodating players who can actually play the fucking game!!
Perhaps if Tuncay were to run around like a cunt for 90 mins in training, he may increase his chances of getting a game.
The constant inclusion of Aaard workers across the middle against sides who are there for the taking (if we selected our attacking players) is a cause for concern.
When did Lawrence give any less than 100%? a hard worker and IMO a gifted crosser of the ball. Also excellent at ball retention, and yet he to is left out, to fit Rory in a position he his clearly not suited to.
No wonder the atmosphere is evaporating with every home game?????
