We should play Wilmot as a DM especially with the absentees we have. Hopefully his defensive knowledge can help us win the ball in the middle of the park and get it moving forward quickly. I'm really dreading this game to be honest, Hull are very good and we need to find a way of tightening things up with some key players missing or we could be in for a hiding. I worry Stevens won't be anywhere near fit enough for a full 90 minutes so it's likely Thompson will be replacing him at some point. Morning Ben.

Has Chillwell been training with our back line ? He's having a nightmare isn't he. Defended steadily but has been a shambles going forward

Nike couldn't give a fuck either way. They're just happy they've found a way to generate more publicity and sell shirts. Don’t think they’ll be selling many of these, massive balls up by them. They tried to sneak it in to appease the minority. Backfired big time That’ll be it then. The bailiffs will be in to repossess assets and liquidate the company, due to a single football shirt having poor sales in one country, by a selection of their potential customer base.

It gives the thick fuckers something to moan about. You do understand that the St George’s flag is an integral part of the Union Jack (British Flag) that in recent years years men and women have fought and died under/for the likes of you……..and other thick fuckers Irony isn’t lost on you.

Imagine being arsed about that flag. I can't think of something I care less about. They were discussing it on BBC Radio Stoke earlier - I turned it off. It gives the thick fuckers something to moan about.

He was shit for Stoke and we would be in exactly the same position if he were to have stayed. Stop bringing this up.

There’s no doubt he got it massively wrong today with the way we set up but he wasn’t helped at all by the spineless bastards on the pitch either😡 Thought we really folded when Pearson had to leave the pitch. We went from Burger to Pearson, to Thompson in a matter of 25 mins. Awful downgrade.

Any ideas where Jordan Thompson was for that second ? That week of optimism is over in 25 mins. Fucking awful

Who are you suggesting we play in that role given Burger's absence? Anybody not named Pearson! I don’t think Bonham is the right choice.

Fighting relegation and our defender misses an open goal from 4 yards. Not good enough.

That's Pearson's problem, he gets caught out of position too often and makes stupid challenges that aren't even in dangerous positions. He's just not very bright. That's not what happened at all. You didn't see it, did you? Not sure there’s much to defend really ? Tried the dark arts, on a yellow, got caught, simple as that.

That’s as good a half we could’ve expected. Still in this and have played some good stuff, and defended better than recent games.

I took that into account.😁 I said a while ago that I thought he just needed a bit of a jolt to get going. He got a nice assist a few weeks ago, then his goal and now this one. Great to shrug off the defender as if he were a child as well. Hopefully, he goes on a run of form that drags us up the league (he’ll probably get injured in the next half 😂). He would’ve had another assist if Manhoef* hadn’t missed a sitter

I think the bigger correlation was probably more age than education though mate. Although not denying you're wrong either. But we should remember alot more young people go to university nowadays compared to 30 years ago. So if education is based on third level education and if more young people vote to remain then more "educated" people will have voted to remain. It's just more university graduates voted to remain and education comes in many forms too. www.theguardian.com/education/2008/oct/23/dumbing-down ahem. Unfortunately, general levels across all levels of education are dropping.

Sacking SS at this point wouldn’t make sense. We’d have to pay off his contract, then we’d need to find someone willing to take on the job and would charge a premium because of the situation we’re in and it potentially being a blip on their CV if they came and we did go down, especially considering the limited time they would have to make any real difference. The cost of paying off Schumacher and paying a premium for a new manager pales into insignificance when compared with the hit we'd take for relegation. If you think we are done for anyway then yes you are right but if you believe a new Head Coach could save us from relegation it's money well spent. Let’s say we lose against boro, and we sack him. We won’t have a new manager for the Leeds game, which compounds the likely defeat even further, will we get one in time for Preston? Not likely, so that could be another defeat? Then onto the following week, maybe introduce the new manager after the Preston game, so has a week to prep for promotion pushing Norwich and Hull in consecutive games etc etc. All with the added bonus of forking out millions to be in a relegation battle anyway ?
