Didn't Djibril Cisse have a similar type of injury or am I way off the mark there?

Don't think it was as bad as this though, this one looks similar to that of David Bussts

Difficult to judge the full extent of the intent based on those photos etc but I think Taylor is pretty wank and I remember seeing him lose quite a few 50/50's to opponenets so I guess that's what happens when a not very good coward see a little bloke like Eduardo coming towards him?

OMG reminds me of the pictures from David Busst (sp?) a few years ago. Missed it on Sky earlier as making a brew, but they did say it was that bad they would not replay it Yes but buust broke his on his own, not but by some arsewipe trying to rattle the top of the league side in first 2 mins!!!!!

Those are the most sickening pictures I've seen in a long time.
Good luck with the recovery Eduardo and I hope thats not the end of the line for your career.

mark, heres the reasons: 1. what he did to england in the world cup 2. he's cocky 3. the way he thinks everyone loves him when they dont 4. diving cunt 5. mardy when things dont go his way 6. he plays for man u 7. i hate him

Wishing anybody's career to end is pretty harsh.
Ronaldo has an eminently punchable face, but there are plenty of English "diving cunts" out there. Shall we wish career ending injuries on them too?
What did he to do England in the world cup? Did he pioneer some kind of mega-magnet that attracted Rooney's studs to Carvalho's scrotum?

Did he pioneer some kind of mega-magnet that attracted Rooney's studs to Carvalho's scrotum? At the time that looked completely inconspicuous. It was a foul to England because of the three Portuguese players and when Rooney was sent off, I had assumed that it was for shoving one of them in the face, which he did. Utter nonsense of a decision, but not as much of a nonsense as that whole 'winker' business. What rubbish, hating Ronaldo because he winked. Ronaldo is a cunt, that's why he's hated. This isn't a thread about football's biggest arsehole though, this is a thread about a very bad tackle and what could regrettably be the end of a career. At half-time, David Platt said that he didn't think it was a foul.

Remember that fella we had on loan who had his leg broke in front of the Boothen end (forgot his name) that was just as bad.
Can't watch the video.

Rooney was being fouled, and he reacted (as he ALWAYS, ALWAYS does, for both Man Yoo and England), in sta, mping on Carvalho. Clear violent conduct, clear red card. Ronaldo winking was a typically cuntish Ronaldo thing to do, but let's not go martyring on about how such and such screwed good Old Blighty out of the world cup (it's always someone else's fault isn't it?), because we only had ourselves to blame.
Ronaldo is a greasy cheating slimeball, but is he any worse than the likes of Messi, Adebayor or Joe Cole?
I agree with the sentiment about Eduardo. Here's hoping for a full recovery. Horrible thing to happen to anybody.

A guy i work with is a Birmingham fan even he says Taylor should get an extended ban. I think ban him untill Eduardo returns. Seems fair.

The FA or FIFA, or whoever is responsible, has got to start dishing out some pretty severe suspensions and fines to players who commit these kind of tackles.
It's becoming the norm in the Premier League just lately and it's a disgrace. They're nothing more than a coward's tackle. Just think back to that tackle by Emre on SJE.
Our lads are repeatedly berated as being bully boys, but when did you last see one of them commit a foul like that?
We're hard, but fair and I'm proud of our players, especially when you see some of these tackles going in.

I could have some sympathy with Taylor given Eduardos pace but go in with studs showing - he deserves everything he gets - hope the poor bastard can walk again never mind play

Horrific. Just seen it on MOTD but had to turn my head away. I've just seen those still pics on this thread though.
Lets face it a serious injury has been coming with some of these over the top and 2 footed challenges that we have been seeing more of just lately. Someone was bound to cop it sooner or later, and unfortunately for him and Arsenal its Eduardo. Will these ott challenges stop now though???
By the way it was Marvin Robinson who broke his leg playing for us and the last i heard he was at Oxford Utd. Gotta feeling hes just signed for Cambridge Utd tho.

Wasn't it a police tag on his shin that caused the fracture on Robinson?
If I remember rightly, he was lethal for us in the few games he played. Injured himself on Sky I think, after scoring. No idea though, truthfully.

Dan mate, I am today with you with what you say about Ronaldo. I would love to break his leg! He is a cocky arrogant prick...End of Just enough to keep him quiet for a few weeks, knock him down a peg or two. To wish Eduardos of injury on anyone is pretty sick With regards to Eduardo... Good luck, heres hoping for a full recovery. Even to suggest that Taylor went out of his way to do that is Ludicrous. He got beaten for pace. He stuck a leg out Eduardo had slipped past him he caught his leg it was an unfortunate accident. He could have made the same challenge another 99 times and not broke his leg. That challenge happens week in week out in matches in all leagues. There was some worse challenges than that down Stoke today. I think the people who watched it live, when it happened never thought "what a dirty challenge, send him off...ban him etc" It's only after seeing pictures, seeing players reactions, listening to the commentators etc you realise how bad of a break it was....not how bad of a challenge Reading things such as Dirty dirty player and as such he should be banned for life. Good luck in your recovery Eduardo. Yes but buust broke his on his own, not but by some arsewipe trying to rattle the top of the league side in first 2 mins!!!!! makes me worry about what type of fans we have watching football, Know very little about the game What resorts a bad challenge?? Two footed? Jumping into the tackle? Knee high challenge? Lunge? Tackle from behind? The challenge from Taylor was none of these No lunge, no jumping in, NO INTENT To the people who think he should be banned for life and what other ridiculous ideas you have got. What you be calling for a ban if it was the same challenge but Eduardo didn't break his leg... But rolled around for a couple of minutes....Would you balls!!

Was clear that Eduardo had broken his leg by the ref's quick reaction and the look on Fabregas's face- was a bad challenge and to be honest Taylor looked shocked at what he'd done- unlike Roy Keane with that deliberate horror stamp on A I Haaland, if anyone should have been banned from the game was Keane.
Certainly seemed to upset the Arsenal players- The physio looked physically sick afterwards.
Pictures are horrific- hope he returns asap
