There's a deviation on the ball, it's basic physics boys .

I don't think there was Serps. Diao just clatters his shin.

I thought it was no different than the dive that Fuller was booked for earlier in the season and match of the day agreed that it was dive lets have some consistancy here. if it was a penalty the ref would have given it he gave spurs everthink else.

Hansen says the Diao tackle was a stone wall pen, but if you watch carefully you clearly see Diao touches the ball with his toe. i agree

It could easily have been given, but I think what saved us was the fact that Salif didn't go to ground like he did when he gave away that free kick on the edge of the box.

There was definite contact with the ball, and the referee had an even better view of it from his position than did the cameras. I'm surprised the MotD team weren't praising it as a piece of excellent defending, and even better refereeing.
You could also see Kranjcar was looking for the pen by his falling-tree routine, which (rightly) counted against him when the decision was made.

There's no question he got the ball, and the ref was perfectly placed to see it too. Similar incident in the Hull Pompey match between David James and Geovanni, James took him down but got ever such a slight touch on the ball, Geovanni knew it and didn't claim for anything. Krancjaer was clearly looking for it IMHO, even though he was touched he went down like a flannel.

I want to see it again. The 5 minute replay thing on Craigs thread hasn't got it on but I'll happily admit it, if I think he touches it. Which he didn't.

The fans who watch the action on Sky see that it is not a penalty and the fans who see it on MOD see it is as a penalty. It must be down to careful editing by the BBC. The only question is why? So you don't need to change your glasses you just need to change which edtited highlights you watch.

I watched it on Israely tv via the Internet in a pub and thought it was a penalty. A Jewish conspiracy is possible I suppose!

Sky didn't even bother to review it after the game, further illustrating how much it wasn't a stone wall .
