Don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but it's hard not to... This could be a promotion party here. It is also the last ever leaue gameat Layer road.
Stoke will be iven around 600/700 tickets, if it was to be a promotion party there will be around 5,000 lus Stokies watin tickets. Tickets in the Colchester end will be near immpossible to et s its the last game there so all colchester fans will want to be there to make be apart of their history.
It brins me to us now. What will happen with tickets.
They wont be on enerla sale that safe to say. It will beST holders who will get the tickets. but with 8,000 seaosn ticket holders and nly 600 tickets there are going to be a lot of dissapointed people. The most fair way would be i would imagine first come first serve, which may see fans camping out the night before tickets go on sale. or it culd be a lucky draw, or even the people who've been to most awya games tis season. Whatever happens there will be people moaning about how shit the club is...
I can see the club only allowing tickets to be purchased from the ticket office and there been no telephone sales, this will akek sales alot easier!!
what do you think!

If we are close to the promised land, and i stress if. I would say the fairest way would be a ballot for the tickets and the rest would watch it live on a big screen at the Brit and maybe in Delilah's as well.

We have 11 games before that so lets concentrate on those first as they are ALL cup finals for us.

Didn't Blunderland have a similar scenario last season? Think that might have been against Luton though. The Luton fans were selling their home tickets for a small fortune!

Hows a ballot fair!?
You ahve people who have been going home and away when we were crap and not winning now all of a sudden people are jumping on the bandwaggon cus' we are winning a few games and will want to go to Colchester for a promotion party. it should be the people who have been to most awya games reward them. thats whay teams in the prem do for champions league games away games and such like.
its funny how all of a sudden people can get the time off work, and can afford to go isnt it!

You raise a very very good point A-teen, and one that I have been thinking about for quite a while. Whatever happens, we will be 'there or thereabouts' at that stage in the season- be it for automatics or promotion.
Either way, I am certain there will be a greater demand for tickets than Colchester can supply. There is no way they will increase our allocation due to a) the size of the ground and b) the particular day it is being played.
Either way, it is going to leave many Stokies disappointed. I just hope I'm not one of them. Like you say, it may well mean camping out?!!

Surely those who have travelled away most should get first dibs on the tickets?

RAF, it should be like that.
It might seem unfair to all other Stoke fans wanting to go to the game! But at the same time, if the people who have been going in week in and week out loose out to someone who is attending their 2nd away game of the season (Newcastle been the other) it's unfair on the people who have been goign week in week out. Now I'm not saying that We are better supporters than them.

Surely those who have travelled away most should get first dibs on the tickets? H Agreed, but as people might not have kept stubs for games already attended, then it might be an idea to designate Norwich & Watford as "qualifying" games for priority on Col U tickets. I would think that we'll still be in with a shout by then, so it's fairly safe to assume that it'll be over-subscribed by at least three times - The club need to put something in place now.

The club no what games each person as been to, as you ahve to give id cards in when buying tickets, im at uni, so y mates gets mine most of the time and i hope they dont use watford as a qualifying games, cus thats one game i will not be going!

I'd say that was fair. Also if any applications for ID Cards come in from now until the end of the season, they shouldn't be issued until next season.

Hey does that mean I should get one every home game is like an away for me I went Newcastle too and Blackpool pleeeeeaaaase can I have one;) oh and one for my neice as well pretty please. All joking aside this is going to be a huge disappointment to some Stoke fans who cant get a ticket. Just like at Wolves with Stokies in the away end. Somehow I cant see Stoke fans getting ticket for away end (Sneakily of course) Crumbs sometimes supporting Stoke is hard

Now I'm not saying that We are better supporters than them. i don't attend away games for work and money reasons and i think that would be fine to allocate tickets based on how many away games you have been to this season. i have no problem with that, it seems like a really good way to do it, and it would reward the people who have travelled all over the country to support our beloved club. great post and great idea...

I think it's fair the season ticket holders and fans that have travelled to the most away games get to go. Whic will rule me out as I've only been to 3 away games this season, but then as I'm 15 it is extremely hard to get to the games unless my dad wants to go!

Tickets should be given out to the people who have followed them away all this season and not the bandwagoners.Computer records will show who has purchased away tickets and surely this would be the only fair way to do it.

That's dreadful! Is it a night game or something? To be fair, Bristol to Colchester is just under 200 miles. It's just as far for us (about 185 miles). I'd have thought that with the season they're having, they might have shifted a few more than that.
