we should invite merson, beagrie, gale, bob hall, gary newbon and any other git who does not want us to go up. the half time entertainment can be for them to walk round the pitch and we hurl pie crusts and flat coke at them for being non believers.

Boskamp has already paid a visit this season, along with the Icelanders. Can't remember the game, but they were definitely there. Probably on a fact finding mission on how to run a football club.

I hope he will be there.
He did a decent job considering he inherited a dreadful squad of players with only days left before the transfer window closed.
He did well to keep us up in his first season in English football and gave some great interviews.
one thing is for sure, we have had alot worse than him.

We should invite all living ex-Stoke managers.
We could then make them all take part in a last man standing battle to the death to decide who really is the best. Pulis can take part too.
My money is on Gudjon. He once bit off and swallowed a journalists nose, or something like that.
Nails.

He's done okay since he took over FC Dender at the end of November. Before Boskamp 1 3 9 6pts from 13 games After Boskamp 5 1 3 16pts from 9 games

He did extremely well in his one season with Stoke/English football.
I would certainly welcome him back, a great character!

No where near relegation with a crap/nonexistant squad, brief flirtation with the playoffs.
In addition played the youngsters and tried to play an expansive attacking game.

"I'm just relieved he didn't destroy our club completely"
Yeah, taking over a club in a different country a couple of weeks before the season started with no squad and only finishing 13th or so did come close to destroying SCFC, didnt it? - Jeez...*
*My comments have no bearing on my opinion of TP or PC or the Icelanders, I am merely contradicting some of the bullshit spouted on this thread.

The kind of "expansive, attacking" game which saw us score once in three hours of football against the mighty Tamworth.

Yeah - but what about the Norwich game? ;D
It's Round 5645454 of the circular Boskamp game.
It's great, innit?
I can't see how anyone can say he was a disaster, given the state of the club he was parachuted into on the eve of pre-season training with 8 or 9 first-team players, and absolutely no knowledge of any of them (or any other player in the league).
Especially as he was trying to bring in a style of football that couldn't have been more alien to them.

I just detest this myth that the football was good. There were plenty of games which were as bad if not worse than anything Pulis served up.

Yeah, there was a hell of a lot of absolute dross served up.
But, in normal circumstances (which they certainly weren't in the summer of 2006), I think he definitely would have been worth persevering with.
Overall, I think he did perfectly reasonably.

I could have lived with him having another season. By the same token, I didn't shed any tears when he left.

the home record was appalling, even worse than the appaling home record under TP the year before.
Away record,10 wins is excellent by any yardstick
obvioulsy he hasnt been invited back for the last game but he would get a clap from me. 9a clap, not THE clap....)
TP has proved what he can do with proper support from the board & time so who knows what Boskamp would have done if the Icleanders had stayed for 1 more year & backed him with cash?
doesnt matter now does it,but I think as the extreme pro/anti TP arguments have been shown to be bollocks so can be said of the pro/ant JB arguments.i
