With the next 2 months seeing a big jump in the league position of the teams we will be playing (Millwall, Palace, Wigan, Crewe, Ipswich, Watford, Sunderland, WBA, Norwich .... in that order), if we can replicate our current form (or even "just" 2 points a game), we will be red hot favourites to clinch a playoff spot and possibly be in with a shout for an auto promotion spot!!! Rather daunting when you consider that only 3 of those teams are currently below us! C'Mon Stoke! We are going to need 75/76 points to clinch 6th spot and I for one will be absolutely delighted if we continue our previous history of beating the "big" teams while struggling against the lower teams. Who would have thought that the next time we play Sunderland, it could well be a six pointer??? ;D My only disappointment will be that Quitterall won't be the teaboy for Sunderland on that day! Any thoughts on where we'll pick up the extra 34 points we need? Finally, on Walsall's site they were talking about the relegation calculator (remember that from grimsbys site last year?) and they had run the calculation to see Walsall come out at 17th (top of the relegation dogfight).......... and there was no sign of Stoke ..... We're not even included in the calculator!!! Now that's progress!!!! Long Live King Tony!!! Last question ...... Have we ever had another Tony as a manager since Waddo? Maybe it's in the name?

If Anyone's interested ..... which I think they're not, as it seems discussing the various merits and demerits of the fans in the JS stand is more important right now, The answer is YES ......We have had another Tony manage us since Waddo.
Tony Lacey for 1 month as caretaker right after Bill Osprey left. So as caretaker he does not really qualify and I sense that detiny is at work here .....
Long Live King Tony II

Well I think that discussing the match day experience whether it be in the John Stiffs or the Boothen or the Sentinel is important, that’s what we pay our money for, and if anyone is interested in Tony Lacey’s 1 month reign as caretaker manager then fine. I thought that’s what this site was for, discussing things about Stoke, or do you think it’s only for discussing things about Stoke that you want to discuss? On the subject of the thread I don’t think we’ll make the play offs or gain automatic promotion, finishing about where we are at the moment would seem a realistic target. A big improvement on last season which is what we all would have settled for at the start of the season.

Ah the effervescent wit of Spiderman.
First, I was talking about Tony Pullis (current manager of Stoke if you'd been too busy looking at the fans in the JS and hadn't noticed), not Tony Lacey.
Second, I didn't say you aren't entitled to your opinion or that you should be interested in Stoke's performance rather than the behaviour of fans in the JS stand. Each to his own. When I don't think the topic under discussion is important/interesting, I don't post - simple as that. You should try it sometimes, but then again, it would lead to far less insults thrown at fellow Stokies in each posting and you'd probably not enjoy that.
GO STOKE!

I thought the idea of this board was for everyone to agree with Spiderman or face the wrath of him
