Baring in mind we have another game before the shit, lets channel our bile to tonights opposition I hate blackpool because of the two hours spent on a broken down train on the way home after our autowindscreens game there in 1999/2000. Theyre from lancashire. Thats all ive got really. Any more?

They stole Stanley Matthews off us. We couldn't compete with the extra £5 a week they offered him.

I like them. They had only good things to say about us and our team the year of our promotion. I'm not a big fan of Holloway as he's a bit of a clown, but he's turned them around and fair play to them.

half hour in blackpool is enough for me, does my fookin head in, go in one shop and you've been in them all, cheap tat of the highest order, a fiver to walk around the "pleasure" beach and holloway, what a twasterd

I like Blackppol because it is one of my closest league grounds and because the atmosphere at our games there is always good. As RAF says they were very complimentary about us in our promotion season and they enjoyed having Wilko and Dicko on loan.
Sir Stan had some of his best days there.
What's not to like?

Is it important to hate them? Can I not just patronise them for being plucky underdogs and if they beat us offer up the usual platitudes about now concentrating on the league and it being a good run-out for some of the fringe players

Blackpool are my favorite Championship side, I don't know why as I'm not the biggest Holloway fan but I just seem to like it when they do well as they aren't exactly the biggest side in the league and they are doing great with what they've got. Great night out there on a stag doo too.
Tonight though i'll hate them as much as any other side who visit the bear pit.
2-0 to the potters for me.

Can I not just patronise them for being plucky underdogs Im saving that for our win on saturday As a club theres not much i can find to dislike, apart from the above, but if we're bringing the town into it, it is a toilet of a place. I remember we played there in the middle of november a few years back and there was nothing open apart from mcdonalds and a few shops in the town centre. We were stood on the bottem corner of that god awful, crumbling old terrace behind the goal and it was bloody freezing and getting shat on by seagulls. Actually, the more i think about it, the more i dislike the buggers :@

I don't mind Blackpool at all, they seem to be a traditionall humble, small well run club. Although the thing I would say I hate about Blackpool is Ian Holloway.

I love Blackpool...Bloomfield Road was one of the best 'away days' with Stoke I've ever had...who can ever forget those Stokies on top of the tea-hut...but what a waste of tea ;D I used to work in a Childrens Home in Blackpool and half the kids in their were from Stoke... Plus there's the connection with Sir Stan.. And best reason to like Blackpool of all..is the awful snobbery of some people who look down on people who enjoy a weekend in the town...as though its full of drunken loud-mouthed yobbo's...out on the piss..away from the wife ;D And I've met and worked with quite a few Blackpool fans...Great bunch of lads n lasses... GOOAARRNNNN BLACKPOOL STOKE ;D

Ok the legions of pissed up stags every weekend has lessened the experience...dont mind the hens at all! But Blackpool still is a great weekend's entertainment......its downmarket tacky and bawdy but hey nowt wrong with that...and the city away days at Blackpool are greatly missed...fingers crossed mad Olly gets them promoted. As for Rhyl.........scary place straight of the set of 'dawn of the dead'

We spent friday, saturday and sunday last weekend in Blackpool.Drove down to Bolton on saturday for our game. They've now finished the stand behind the goal. From the outside it is now looking a very tidy little ground.Don't know when they are doing the temp away stand we had a few years ago,but when finished it will be a nice ground. As for Blackpool itself they have spent a lot of money tidying up the front, bigger police presence at night meaning less rowdy drunken behaviour on the street. They have made great strides to make Blackpool more appealing. In saying that 2 and half days was enough.
