Football - Peter Jones Cricket - Agnew is good Athletics - John Rawlin on 5 live (don't know if he still does it but he is superb)

All the great and the good have been mentioned and it's impossible to pick only three, but for me head-and-shoulders above them all is the great John Arlott. The man could paint a picture more vivid than actually being there.

Yes, choosing three from so many is difficult, but I would go with:- Peter Alliss Bill McClaren Richie Benaud
Each if these "were" their sports, as were Eddie Waring, Brian Johnston, Dan Maskell, Peter O`Sullevan, Murray Walker. Nigel Starmer-Smith is much under-rated, thus under-used. Ken Brown, Sam Torrance and Wayne Grady are good too.
Presenters of live sport, rather than commentators, on the other hand - who do we have? John Inverdale? Sue Barker? Gaby Yorath? Lineker? Clare Balding? Steve Rider? Jim Rosenthal - he definitely has got the rough end of the pineapple from ITVSport - , then all the way down to John Acres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! d.
