Formerly of Bentilee/Bucknall but until his tragic death age 45 was living in Penkhull ..Buried today after passing away the day of the Sunderland game!.Tats was a legend to all those who knew him and although rarely went these days he was a massive Stokie during the dirge years of the 80s and 90s!!...RIP Tats

Just got back to work after attending Dave's funeral, massive turn out for a genuine top lad and an all round nice guy, I just hope Dave knew how of how much of a High regard he was held, thoughts are with his closest especially his children.
The Vicar said "I bet you all have a story that you could tell about Dave".....If he had let everyone there just recount one each we would still be there this time next week.....ooooh there was a few stories involving Dave every one could tell.
RIP Tats, you WILL be missed

RIP Tatton, I knew him for many years after I’d had a punch up with him as a teenager, were good mates after that and often used to joke about it. Wanted to go his funeral today but due to work commitments I couldn’t make it. Genuine nice bloke was Tatton and like has already been said lots of people have a tale to tell about him including myself. Gouranga.

I worked in care with Dave for a couple of years-he was a top bloke and I used to see him around over the years. Sorry to have missed his funeral,I only heard he'd died on Sunday night.Last time I saw him was in Fenton magistrates courts about 18 months ago-he was up for GBH,and was hoping he wouldn't get sent down. RIP Dave, you were a top man.

Wish I'd been able to go today but work commitments along with distance prevented it.
Knew Tats vaguely from school and met him a couple of times in the Navy, used to always pop in and have a drink with him when I was on leave after he'd left the Navy.
Genuine bloke, always thoroughly enjoyed his company, crying shame he's no longer with us.
Sincere condolences to his family.
As said, he'll be greatly missed.
