Bayern, I don't know where to start, however here goes.
First off, and as a general rule beaches fishing tends to be best at night. The higher the tide, on shore breezes, the time of year also affect the types of fish and quantities you are likely to catch. As a general rule aim to get into as deep a water as you can within your casting range, but the best advice is to pick an area you fancy and then watch where the locals fish and what baits they use.Fresh lugworm and Ragworm are good and will catch you a variety of species but in particular dabs, whiting, etc.
Good places to fish are the piers...! Llandudno pier is good , but is quite stoney and rough on the sea bed, but if you go to the other end of the beach where it deeply shelves(towards Rhos on sea) then again, a lot of the locals fish this spot.
Bangor pier is another good spot for Mackerel and pollock and so is the pier on Anglesey at Beaumaris. Again if you prefer beach fishing then the beach at Penmaenmawr is recommended by the locals who fish for Bass in the Summer months.
On Anglesey itself you also have the power station with its warm water channel going into the sea which I am told is also very goos for a variety of species. The long flat beaches of Newborough warren are also good for 'Flatfish', especially if their is a strong south westerely blowing onshore.
A favourite spot of mine is the Pier at Trefor on the Llyn Peninsular which has many bigger species such as bullhuss, thorn back ray, and dog fish.Around Trefor there is also some really quiet picturesque campsites too, which you may want to try.
There are some good Sea Web sites you might want to google , but generally speaking I think what I have suggested(from memory) will produce good results.
Let me know if you want any more info.

Had a decent day yesterday at Baden Hall on the Middle Pool.
I had about 20 carp between 6 and 16lb, all on pellet off the top. Had some good fun freelining to fish in the margins using my centre pin.
The one down side is the state of most of the fish, their mouths disfigured. I suppose that's what you get on these commercial waters.
I think it's back to the river in the short term.

I fished there a few weeks ago on the same pool and had some fun on the top on dog biscuits, plenty of fish caught, the biggest being a 17lb Mirror. Totally agree with the comment about the state of the fish, half of them have been butchered sadly There are supposed to be a few bigger fish in the middle pool, but i've never had one bigger the 17lb before. Have you tried the specimen lake there? I heard its got some pretty decent carp in there but its a nightmare to fish and most people have blanked, which for the money they charge is quite bad.

I have never fished the specimen lake, I'm not what you would class as a "carp angler". I'll be on the Trent tomorrow and I'm looking forward to trying a few new swims.

I reckon You'll catch a shopping trolley, a bike and quite possibly chlamydia! Thought you got chlamydia free with a west stand season ticket ??? Anyone fished Basford pools near Cheddleton recently. Haven't fished there for a couple of years and was hoping to go soon but someones mentioned it's very poor at the moment

Lord Eff....Let us know how you go on mate.Whereabouts are you fishing....I go down their quite regularly.
If posters can report on their trips out this Summer it would be of particular interest to us all...!
Put up your pictures too, along with any tips... It will provide the area with the only local "Fishing Forum " hopefully.

When I've done some field work in the Trent there have been panty liners all over the place. Dirty sods!

I fished Big Billinge in Northwich tonight for a few hours.. Carping. Very hot conditions but I never saw a single fish landed, although I did nip into the 'Seafarer Chippy' on the way home..
I used Tutti Fruitti Pop Ups ....Nothing doing I'm afraid. It is a difficult water at the best of times.

No you are completely wrong.
Some Anglers are professional sportsmen...some have been honoured and recognised for their achievements at the BBC SPORTS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR.
You can't argue with that.
