Obviously, he's a big player in that he's fat, but with Gerry going back i'm wondering if TP will use his experience to a greater effect. Forget those dodgy games, he does have the experience and if he plays as well as he did on Saturday, I won't complain about him being in the side! How things change all of a sudden! Jon

if it is it could explain alot. when we signed him i was quite pleased that we had signed an experienced, quality player.
yes he was unfit, but his performances were sub standard, but something like that is gonna effect you, so well done willo, now is your chance to start again

We thought he had a great match on saturday, he was our man of the match. No-one else seemed to agree, but hey ho! ;D
Perhaps splitting with his wife, if that is true, did affect him. Cant blame him really.

In all fairness, Williams has been pretty solid in the home matches he's played in. I can't remember too many mistakes he's made at the Brit to be honest.
It's just in away games that he's been a liability.
He had a great game on Saturday, but I reckon it's only fair to give him a chance to get fully fit. Adrenalin would have got him through that game on Saturday, but it wouldn't be fair to him to put him in the team on a regular basis while he's less than 100%.

Fair play to Williams, he had a decent game on Saturday. But I've yet to see any consistent evidence that he's the man for a regular spot at C/B.
There's still a third of the season to go and plenty of time for us either to press on or slide backwards. The Board should be busting a gut to get Taggart back or bring in someone similar.
