if you do a search "Stoke City" match exact phrase, there are over 2000 pictures ... some very harrowing ones from the Bolton V Stoke disaster in there ??? Sir Stanley Matthews pictured before his testimonial at Stoke City's Victoria Ground. Ferenc Puskas (left) and Alfredo di Stefano (right) were amongst some of the stars who turned out for the World XI. April 1965

looked quite a way through, and there are some great shots of the Vic in there from the 60s/70s/80s
equally there are some quite disturbing photos of crowd trouble, and violence, in particular there was a shot of someone lying sparked out in the road with blood coming from there head, Stoke v Man U 1982/3 , i instantly thought of neil (not that I've met him, but we all know the circumstances) which is why I haven't posted it up on here

Peter Shilton, Tony Waddington's record signing reported to Stoke FC ground for the first time as a Stoke player. First to greet him with a welcoming handshake was Gordon Banks and then down to some serious training. Fast lapping with Gordon Banks urging him on, the Gordon showing him that he would only ask what he, Gordon, could do.

Many thanks Dave, this is a real treasure.
Just to prove that while much has changed in football some things haven't you can see it "going off! against West Ham on about page 75 as you page through the groups of 8 prints!
1982 and 27 years ao it may have been and the clothes and hair cuts have changed but you could have traded that for last season scenes against West Ham at the Brit!

Ronaldo and Kaka can't hold a candle to the INCOMPARABLE Puskas and Di Stefano. Yet they were in awe of our Stan. Think about that for a moment...
