just wondered if anyone knew of a really old archive of Stoke photos, uncle played for 'em couple of seasons, I estimate somewhere between 1910 - 1920 ? Thanks.

thanks Ilford Dave, it's Billy Briscoe born 1890's so I guess he played around 1910 - 1915 - 1920 ? My gran (his sister) used to sit in the Butler Street stand banging her feet on the timber boards in excitement when he had the ball. A bit of history : he got transferred to the Vale !!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Briscoesorry fella but there is no mention of him in the encyclopeida, not even in the list of players with appearances, had a look through the playing records for the war years, there is a T Briscoe mentioned as a guest player in one season
