Mowbray seems to have denied the story? No Moore For Baggies
West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Mowbray has blasted rumours that he is about to sign Villa striker Luke Moore on loan with a view to a £3.5million permanent move in the summer.
He told the Birmingham Post:
'The Luke Moore thing is purely speculation and he will not have any impact on the players at the club now. We have got Ishmael Miller, Kevin Phillips, Roman Bednar and Craig Beattie and we have scored more goals than anyone else in the country this season. We are happy enough with our goalscorers, but they have to keep that competition going among themselves.'
So there you go, no move for Luke Moore.www.astonvilla.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=504407

Mowbray doesn't seem to think so (although what he says and what he ends up doing may be 2 different things)
But if you had Bednar, Phillips and Miller (and you'd spent £1m on Beattie in the summer) another striker wouldn't exactly be a priority - and that's what he seems to be saying.
