Just done a lovely tea. Slow roasted pork shoulder (5hours) mash and greens. With gravy made from the juices and some crunchy pork crackling, lovely😀

Apols for absence, chaps - laptop been playing up for a few days so it's going in for a service. I've just said to it: "You're just going outside and may be some time." Logging out now. See you ASAP! Missing you already!

Did you do it in a slow-cooker? I'd love to think so, but can't see how you could if you had crackling - so was it an oven option at sth like 3 hrs @ 150'C or 5 hours @ 130'C? Tell us, please, then we can all have a go. TA! xxx

Lifted off the pan with onion and garlic and slightly submerged in dry white wine. Olive oil and fennel rubbed all over😀

I'm going out to buy some toilet paper, bread and oat porridge. What does porridge made from toilet paper, bread and oats taste like? Pretty bland I’d imagine😀

Just read the Euro 2020 Final in football might be played in Budapest instead of Wembley, due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Well, England at least won't have any home advantage versus Sweden then.
🤠

Left forearm like popeye, how can something itch so much!.🦟 I had to go to the hospital with a horsefly bite a few years back. It got lanced and I feinted. I’d let it fester for a couple of weeks, it was hideous. Bastards!

I got bitten by a horsefly a few years back. On my left arm just below the elbow and my forearm was about twice the usual size, bright red, and really painful. It itched like hell, was burning hot, and I suffered dizzy spells for about 24-36 hours. After 3 days I went to my G.P. who gave me some hydrocortisone cream and antihistamine tablets (could have got them from the pharmacy) which took a day or so to start working. My swollen arm then gradually decreased in size and was back to normal after about 10 days. Horseflies are evil little so and so's.

That would explain the mark, I was cutting wood at the time and thought I'd scratched myself when I first looked. Thanks.

Antihistamines worked and the swelling from the horsefly bit has gone, still a bit itchy though and red. Has anyone seen the fangs these bastards have got!, they could open a tin of beans no problem. I googled them, what a horror show.

We rented a big house in the countryside for a couple of weeks and they were that bad I hardly slept for a fortnight. No one else had a mark on em, I was like the elephant man by the end of it!

Oh, poppet....... xxx That's exactly the same as me with mozzies, Badge. The last time they got me was Thailand, November 2007. My anti-moz clothes attempted survival kit included thick black tights and long skirts all the time I was there. Fat lot of use - made no difference at all and I was covered in bites, as per bleedin' usual. I reckon a bunch of the little swines spotted me getting off the plane in Bangkok and then they all started emailing each other right away so none of them would miss out as I got just as badly attacked at three different sites over two weeks. Little tripe'ounds.

Costa Teguise , it’s nice and quiet there never too busy .Playa Blanca is very nice too ….there was hardly anything in Playa Blanca when we first started visiting Lanzarote .It’s grown a lot in the past fifteen years or so. Oh ok. We've been up to Costa Teguise a couple of times, as you say it's a very nice place and just that little bit quieter. Last time we were in Lanzers there were literally hundreds of (what looked like) new villas just standing empty. 'Ang on, 'ang on, you two --- (**drumroll**).................do you know that the human dynamo, Fel, comes over to Lanzers every now & again with some fellow runners? Last time I asked him about it, which would've been about 12 months ago, he told me to get my shorts on.... .... and I said "Not a pretty sight, Ern" !
