Here’s Daniel, talking about his time on Strictly. Are you a fan of Joe Longthorne as well? He’s ok, Badger, but not in the same league as Daniel IMO.

I’ve got a not very interesting story about Joe Longthorne that’s all. I digress Let me guess? You and Mrs Badger had him round for tea? 😉 Picture the scene.......... Tower Lounge, Blackpool circa 2000. It’s busy and I’m at the bar. A voice from behind me says “excuse me fella”. I say “you’ll have to wait mate, I’m next” Guy says “do you know who I am? Me “No mate” Guy says “I’m Joe f*****g Longthorne” Me “Never heard of you, piss off”. At that point two big Irish bastards in bomber jackets lifted me off my feet and threw me out the pub. Still a claim to fame🤣

Here’s a lovely B&B owner reacting to Daniel and Majella’s arrival.
So cute. Sounds like she came before he did.

Here’s Daniel O’Donnell, proving once again what a lovely guy he is.
I want to keep listening to this song again and again.

I thought I’d use this thread to post this. If you like Daniel O’Donnell, this is a must-see. You can just tell he’s a great guy 👍 Nothing seems to faze Daniel, he took to this show like a duck to water. Edgy, if I looked at that I'd be in therapy for bleedin' years. Went up to Whitby on a coach trip for the day in about 2003 to see the fabulous 'Endeavour' replica museum ship when she was moored there for two years. It was a lovely day, apart from the travelling, which was worse than dire - with all the picking-up stops + a motorway services break it took the coach six bl**dy hours to get there. Then it was another six bl**dy hours to get back and the icing on the cake of travelling misery was that on the way back the driver insisted on playing a succession of CDs of all of Daniel O'Soddingdonnell's 'hits'. ("If only I'd had a rope……..") Purgatory wasn't in it. As a result I've had that Pavlov's dog effect ever since - every time I even hear any mention of DoD I want to disembowel somebody, and that's just for starters. you’re not into dod, murph? (puzzled) - maybe this will change your mind. (smiley face)

Up early tomorrow. Going for a MRI. Yeah, I've actually decided to walk to the hospital, 25-30 mins or so. I don't think it will effect the blood values.
Last time I had an examination, an ultrasound examination, I had to use an enema at home a couple of hours before it. But it didn't work at all! I hope it will go better this time. I have no idea what to do else.
Planned to use my own headphones and face mask in the (confirmed) 107dB volume old tube, but I just discovered both have metal parts.
🤔

I have no idea what to do else. Planned to use my own headphones and face mask in the (confirmed) 107dB volume old tube, but I just discovered both have metal parts. 🤔 How did the MRI go Musik ? Hammering sounds and a siren. Tired ears even though double protection, plugs and phones. 9°C outdoors when I went. 20°C outdoors when it was over. So it was too hot with that jacket I'd picked. I had two appointments, but the first was "only" an appointment with a nurse, answer a questionaire etc. But it did say MRI 11.00 on one and MRI 11.30 on the other paper. The first paper also said I could drink tea or coffee before the MRI and the second paper said I absolutely couldn't. I told her and she was surprised noone else had seen that. When I was asked to leave from there and go to the real MRI examination I did walk to the glass doors she mentioned alright, but they couldn't open up without a special card. So I was stuck and had to wait several minutes for some doctor to get through. Then when I got to the building where the actual MRI took place, I managed to open the door too fast after pushing the plate, so the whole system collapsed and staff had to come and help. Great start! 🤓 The results of the MRI come in a week or two.

Don't know if this is the right place for this article, but anyway.......................... Just when you thought people couldn't get any more stupid. From an article in Yahoo News: "Police officers have been left stunned by a dangerously overloaded pick-up truck they pulled over in Cannock, Staffordshire. The Mitsubishi L200 Trojan truck was piled high with a mountain of stuff, all held together by three pieces of rope. The driver, who held a provisional licence so had yet to pass their test, was pulled over at Stadium Garage petrol station in Pye Green Road, Cannock, Staffordshire at around 5pm on Sunday. Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG), a group of officers from West Midlands Police and Staffordshire Police, shared photos of the truck on Twitter. Garden chairs, bikes, radiators, a lawnmower and a metal table were stocked up in the back of the black 4x4." linkOh dear, Oh very dear!. Provisional licence into the bargain, you have to wonder. Having said that I had to report a guy who had all his market stall poles tied to the roof of his escort van (no rack) when he hit the brakes at a pedestrian crossing in the middle of Notting Hill Gate one Saturday afternoon and the whole lot shot off onto his bonnet then the road. No one hurt thank goodness and right next to me!. Made that beat shift more interesting. Carrying an unsafe load he was reported for. Living on the edge chuffed 😉

The guy w the 4WheelDrive pickup car there simply couldn't afford to rent an ordinary moving truck for transport? Maybe that's why he bought that black vehicle in the first place; for transportation. However ... too much is too much.
Btw, the MRI I mentioned above was a prostate MRI. Discovered somewhat too high PSA blood values within a research project I was picked for randomly, which is good since my uncle has had prostate cancer, also my father and grandfather had prostate problems (diagnosis uncertain) and my mother has had cervical cancer - and the heredity is lurking there. An increased risk by 50% to get prostate cancer if your mother has had cervical cancer or your father has had prostate cancer, the research nurse said. It doesn't mean the risk to get prostate cancer is 50% if you have close relatives or family members with such a history.
In Sweden 14.30% of all men actually get prostate cancer before they're 75. With close relatives or family members having it, it means the risk is 21.45% to get it - not 50% ...
So check it out in time. A simple blood test. It should be below 3.

Disgusting🤢 I may start a new thread on food and drink people hate🤔 No, please don't, Badge - we've already got at least one! There's also an excellent one called 'disgusting things you ate as a child' which goes back about 3 or 4 years. I recall that on that one, amongst other things, tadpoles * featured. * COME BACK BISP! The campaign continues.
See - it worked! Eventually! There's nothing like a successful campaign ter warm yer cockles.
