Where’s Musik got to? I’m gagging for a Christmas edition of “the mysterious person in the laundry room”! "Man consumed by tumble dryer, shock!". It was all over the Swedish papers. 🤔😁

I've been ill and am still struggling with the side effects after the treatment. It started on Dec 29th, so Christmas was ok - saw my closest.
Funny fact: The first time I was at the Emergency clinic I couldn't find any open door in the building [later I understood why ...]. Anyway, so when a lady appeared in a rush with her entrance card (nurse? doctor?), I managed to get into the building and then get to the Emergency clinic. She obviously was stressed and didn't even notice me. Since I had been there two times before the pandemic, I knew where to go. Then it struck me: where is everyone?? But still convinced I would meet nurses, doctors and patients when I'm there, when I reach the door to that special Emergency clinic on the right side! In shock when I saw the Emergency clinic was closed and a big floor sign saying "open mon-fri 7-16, make an appointment in advance". The website said it was open 24 hours a day, other doctors have said it and the sick advice info telephone and web info service still said it.
I now realized I had to get out. On my way quickly out again I didn't face a single human being. At the entrance I found out every single door was locked.
A tiny bit of panic. Mostly because I missed my ordinary medicine I didn't bring.😱
I noticed a strange green coloured knob on one of the doors. I managed to push it all the way up to get out. Freedom! I heard a light sound behind me when the door closed. Wonder what that could be ... 🤣
I then at home called the Sick info Emergency number in the middle of the night 4.15 a.m and got an appointment the same day at 1.30 p.m at the mentioned Emergency clinic I tried to visit. Was put on life threatening treatment there. Among the side effects: blindness, psychoses, bone mass decomposition and heart stops. Pretty stuff. It could be a murder bacterie which could eat up my eye and brain, so ... Got to start the treatment the same night they said but they had no idea what or if any Pharmacies were open after 7 p.m. I went to the Emergeny Unit's own Pharmacy(!), but was informed it closes at 5 p.m. Then I asked a volunteer guard who told me to get by feet to a Pharmacy he knew of. I had to hurry, running with blurred vision and it now also started to rain ... Rain wet and sweaty I got the info there at 6.15 p.m. at that Pharmacy they didn't have(!) one of the two prescribed urgent medical drugs on the list. But she phoned another Pharmacy in the inner city, which I perhaps could reach if I took the tram immediately. I managed to get there just in time all weary. So now I had three of the medical drugs the doctor told me to start with (I already had one of them at home). But I had to get the fourth one. Now I was lucky for once, the Optician next to the Pharmacy were atill open at 6.55 p.m so I bought it there. A bit of a hunt this ...
I don't know about England, but if you got sick here and must have a medicine to save yourself or some vital bodypart, in time - you have to wait to the next day (office hours), when it actually could be too late ... I was naive enough to believe the Emergency Units had a storage.
After a week I had an appointment with my doctor again. To my surprise it wasn't him. Instead it was a female doctor, who called my name two times at the other side of the building apparently, which I could barely hear! Even though I had asked the male nurse where to sit and he'd showed me the direction. The sign with her name happened to be pointing in the wrong direction!!
So if it hadn't been for my great hearing I would have missed the very important appointment to her (but still have had to pay the bill, since the rule is they make two calls, then they call the next name).
I'm now waiting for my body to calm down still.
This is what I've been up to. 🙂

More: One of the medical drugs were some eye drops. I was told the dilated pupils will get back to normal in 3 hours if you have a fast medical drug metabolism and up to 22 hours if you have a slow one. It took me ... 90 hours. And some doctor said once, I have a medical drugs metabolism of 1/8 of a normal level. My food metabolism is perfectly normal though. And one could only speculate why this is.
I actually do have a laundry pass tomorrow Friday, but am not sure if I could manage it. On one hand I still struggle with side effects and are told not to leave my home due to my weak immune system atm, due to antibiotics treatment, but on the other hand I have to get clean sheets.

Feeling better now, day by day.
As a part of my blefaritis treatment (eye lid inflammation) I was told by my eye doctor to put warm water on a couple of compresses, but not hot (too warm). Then I'm supposed to put them on my closed eyes, resting for 10 mins. 3 times a day. And then massage the eyelids with baby schampoo and water, wash with a sterile wet vipe, put an ointment on the eyelids and the edges. Before night also another ointment in the eyes and during daytime a special gel in the eyes 4 times a day.
Q: how do I keep the compresses warm?
Within 20 secs the compresses become cold on my eyelids, so after this treatment the fat and oil circulation within the eyelids (which this treatment is aimed for), is even worse.

Sounds like they need to be warm at the start Musik then they cool down? Is there any ailment you don’t have?

Yes, Down's syndrome.

I used an electric blanket and used the lowest level of warmth. Regular short blasts in the microwave possibly, bit laborious but it's quick.

I used an electric blanket and used the lowest level of warmth. Regular short blasts in the microwave possibly, bit laborious but it's quick. Thanks! I know. And that's what they recommend for the face mask I bought months before I got any kind of inflammation, and "just" got dry eyes. But I don't have any micro wave oven. Last week I thought about it, but have no idea where I could place such a thing in the kitchen. I would have to buy a separate small table on wheels or something.🙂 They do not recommend to put it in the ordinary oven. But I did try to put it in warm water and the face mask got warmer, but it got cold after 20 secs on my eyelids, and the same when I did that with compresses. I changed compresses and put them in hot water in a bowl beside me every 20 secs. But the medical instruction says: Relax and rest for 10 mins. It's tricky.

If you like Daniel O’Donnell, this is a must-see.
You can just tell he’s a great guy 👍 Nothing seems to faze Daniel, he took to this show like a duck to water.

Ta. 🤣🤣 Hot buttered / toasted teacakes are also scrummy. They always remind me of having them in Huntbach's restaurant with my mother and grandmother after they'd had their hair done in the salon which was right next to the restaurant, (*) on the top floor. EDIT (*) Corrected from 'salon'.

Went up to Whitby on a coach trip for the day in about 2003 to see the fabulous 'Endeavour' replica museum ship when she was moored there for two years. It was a lovely day, apart from the travelling, which was worse than dire - with all the picking-up stops + a motorway services break it took the coach six bl**dy hours to get there. Then it was another six bl**dy hours to get back and the icing on the cake of travelling misery was that on the way back the driver insisted on playing a succession of CDs of all of Daniel O'Soddingdonnell's 'hits'. ("If only I'd had a rope……..") Purgatory wasn't in it. As a result I've had that Pavlov's dog effect ever since - every time I even hear any mention of DoD I want to disembowel somebody, and that's just for starters.

Do you ever get extra oatcakes & freeze them? We're all awaiting your return. These housewarming prezzies are going to go mouldy if they wait much longer.

Huntbach's - wow, a real memory from my childhood there Murph ! One of those stores that your mum and dad or Gran used to go to and you were dragged along (as a young kid) usually hating every minute of it. One of those stores that just gets instantly forgotten until somebody mentions it and brings back sketchy memories. I well remember the name, and frequent boring visits, but I can't actually remember inside the place.

Don't know if this is the right place for this article, but anyway.......................... Just when you thought people couldn't get any more stupid. From an article in Yahoo News: "Police officers have been left stunned by a dangerously overloaded pick-up truck they pulled over in Cannock, Staffordshire. The Mitsubishi L200 Trojan truck was piled high with a mountain of stuff, all held together by three pieces of rope. The driver, who held a provisional licence so had yet to pass their test, was pulled over at Stadium Garage petrol station in Pye Green Road, Cannock, Staffordshire at around 5pm on Sunday. Central Motorway Police Group (CMPG), a group of officers from West Midlands Police and Staffordshire Police, shared photos of the truck on Twitter. Garden chairs, bikes, radiators, a lawnmower and a metal table were stocked up in the back of the black 4x4." link

Having said that I had to report a guy who had all his market stall poles tied to the roof of his escort van (no rack) when he hit the brakes at a pedestrian crossing in the middle of Notting Hill Gate one Saturday afternoon and the whole lot shot off onto his bonnet then the road. No one hurt thank goodness and right next to me!. Made that beat shift more interesting. Carrying an unsafe load he was reported for.
