It takes a certain skill to keep the spontaneity and hilarity going in a thread God's, the Brexit thread has all the ingredients to be as good, it's just lacking that that X factor.........🤣👍 Now if I should wander over there the first thing I would do is.........talk about anal dryness it's a subject close to my heart, it's a topic that should be brought to peoples attention.

Mm The Cure and cheese .both things I adore and I'll join the red Leicester appreciation society. A strong cheddar is always a pleasure. As for fat Bob's merry men, the fact he resembles one of my grans friends these days doesn't detract from the fact they're responsible for some of the most sublime pop singles ever

Ok can we talk about phones instead? I don't mean mobile phones but old fashioned round dialer jobbies.
We used to have a pay phone in our house
Anyone have any strange phone set ups?

Into Goats cheese and Gorgonzola at the moment I get goats cheese but who is this Gordon Zola fella and does he know that you are into him. 😲😲 An extremely versatile creamy blue cheese with a slightly sharp bite. Who could resist the allure of Gordon Zola. I only discovered Gordon by chance due to the Mrs’ new diet bit Stilton can do one now, I still have a yearning for Roquefort now and again though😏. Hope Gordon doesn’t find out!

I'll try and take a pic later but for lengthy reasons I won't go into I'm currently working out of a 60s built and currently disused old courts building and it has several of the rotary dialers still in situ.

I'm searchin for a simple, cheap in-ear headset for my Moto Mobile phone G4 plus.
It's not easy to find.
Q: Can I use any in-ear headset, 3.5 mm plug stereo? Any brand?

Here you go, not a rotary dialler but walked past this one in one of the court anterooms today , disconnected but still immortalised on the wall

Into Goats cheese and Gorgonzola at the moment I get goats cheese but who is this Gordon Zola fella and does he know that you are into him. 😲😲 Come come, Okes --- you know very well he used to play for Chelski, then when his knees packed in he went all booky and wrote a few, including 'Germinal' and 'Nana'. The full title of the latter, btw, although not often quoted, is actually 'Avaba Nana'. (*) Not many people know that. (**insert slide trombone noise**)

Another vote for Red Leicester and extra mature cheddar here. And Swiss cheese - Emmental at a push but, on the rare occasions I can find it over here, Appenzeller is a delight. For the 3 months I lived in Switzerland I lived on little else than Appenzeller, cured meats, fresh bread and Calanda Brau
Goats' cheese? bleurgh. Tastes like soap. Blue cheese? No thanks, I was a cash-strapped student in the 80's so I've eaten enough mould by necesssity. I certainly won't be paying to eat it any time soon.
Ah, pay phones. There was an art to them. It involved finding the right sized washer & looping some-extra strong fishing line through it. Push the washer in when the beeps go, pull it back out as soon as it's registered & before the bar clicks across. You certainly wouldn't ever find me cycling the lanes of Shropshire, finding remote pay phone boxes, dialling the speaking clock with a washer & then leaving the receiver off the hook. Honest, m'lud, I was elsewhere at the time and I've never owned a washer on a piece of fishing line, other than this one that happens to have fallen into my pocket.

Serious case of phone envy when growing up. We had the bog standard BT issue piece of kit but my mates house had a trim phone which then started the annoying craze of trying to mimic the ringtone by making your lips wobble and spit everywhere. Then he almost ruined the friendship by getting one of the first huge digital watches with those very bright red numbers. Probably worth a fortune now as a museum piece.
