got me in a nostalgic mood so does anyone else remember the ORIGINAL Brian Lara Cricket and all it's wonder?
Or for that matter the amazing Jonah Lomu Rugby game?
Or the utterly awful Michael Owen World Football (or some such title)?

I wish they'd bring the game out prior to the ashes instead of well after it

I loved the Brian Lara game from Mega Drive days. My created team was called Youthshire CCC ;D I've got BLC on XBOX 360, the fielding is solid to master I think Looking forward to getting the Ashes game when it gets released. But yes, Stokie-Jiggz, I'm with you about releasing it before the series starts.

Used to play Gary Linekar Soccer on the Commador 64. Thought it was the best game ever as a child ;D Sensi Soccer was one of the best I remember though.

I got this on the PS3 today and played it for three hours - good fun! It takes a bit of getting used to bowling and batting at first, but soon enough Jimmy Anderson got me five wickets and Matt Prior got a century...now for the next hardest level!

Its even harder to catch but thats the only way i can get them out. I have not bowled or got anyone LBW yet nor run out It's not too bad once you get used to it. If you aim at the stumps enough time with a good bowler (like Anderson or Flintoff) you'll get them out bowled or lbw. The catching is all about timing, as is the batting - you need to work out the bowler's pace and time it right.

I got it last night, went through the legends training. Tried to play a test match and it feels like a completely different game. Trying to play defence results in it going over the top most of the time (I'm pressing square)
Also, is there anyway to make it display the run window ala legends training?

The batting is all about timing. If you get used to moving left or right in the crease as to where you want to play (either off-side or leg-side) and when to press the stroke button, you'll soon get into the swing of it. You obviously need to place your shot, but when the bowler first shows their yellow circle, move in the crease, and then choose your direction with the left stick. You should be aiming in between fielders - the better batsmen (e.g. Strauss) are better at placing. The best button to press is X, as if you time it right you'll often get a 4. Good luck!

Ashes is so easy I'm on hard... Bowl the aussies out for less than 10 overs and beat them in my first test by 1000 runs. Just silly!
