The thing about our current sponsor Britannia Building Society is that naming the stadium The Britannia doesn't necessarily sound like a brand name.
I've always though that Britannia as in 'Rule Britannia' was far superior to any other ground named after the club's sponsor.
These days we have The Emirates and The Reebok and we've had the Riverside Cellnet. Ugly all of them.
So be careful what you wish for!!!
The Marmite Stadium just doesn't hack it for me. It could be worse, the Durex Arena or the Lillettes Stadium are nightmares come true.
The Wedgewood Stadium sounds good. Or perhaps we should name the ground after one of our legendary servants for perpetuity.
The Stanley Matthews Stadium
The Tony Waddington Arena
The Gordon Banks Ground
Tony Pulis Road
The Greenhoff
Or perhaps Smudge The Oatcake Oval
