lol fuller produces magic and bednar i agree has a good g2g ratio but for pure work rate and the ability to skin players at will fuller is the 1 ...............both players are quality at this level hard 2 compare though different types of player Yeah i agree, different types of players. Both score goals though and thats what it's all about. Here's a question for you Albion. Based on what you've seen of Fuller, how many goals do you think he would be getting in your Albion side? I've a feeling that he'd be more successful and if Bednar was in our side he'd be struggling abit. On that basis, I think there is a good argument to put Fuller ahead of Bednar.

Well i'm not sure how you can form that opinion of Bednar if you don't watch him regularly. Therefore i don't think you can say Fuller should be ahead of Bednar - just as i can't say Bednar should be ahead of Fuller. As i stated, they are both dangerous at this level and score goals. So it wasn't that clever really.

Also, what basis are you using to put Fuller ahead of him? You haven't really detailed any strengths or weaknesses in either players game or how they are different to eachother, neither of have you stated how each player might suit or not suit each teams style of play. You have formed your opinion on 'a feeling' you have.

You have formed your opinion on 'a feeling' you have. I'm not trying to be antagonistic Albion I'm just asking your opinion and stating mine. Fuller scores goals at a regular rate in a team that has been lacking a strong and creative midfield. The guy is blessed with immense talent and strength which has enabled him to rack up 14 goals this season. Most of his goals have come from his ability to rip defences apart with power, skill and pace, you as an Albion fan should appreciate that. Now what I've seen of Bednar, admittedly only on tv, and for some reason they like to show you alot, he is a cracking player in the box, but then again he does have the support of what is reported as the best midfield outside of the the premier league, nay from Arsenal down. I don't think he has the ability to rip a defence apart on his own. So I'll ask you the simple question, do you think Fuller would have scored more goals in your team and Bednar scored more in ours up until the end of January? Think about it and if you truly believe that Bednar is better than Fuller I'll see if we can get you committed

Fair post mate but i never said Bednar was better than Fuller - only that they are both good players at this level.
Fuller in the Albion side? Well it could have been once but Megson turned him down after a trial. He's had problems with injuries before (is it his knees that are dodgy?) but to be fair he's been like sh!t off a shovel at Stoke. I'd have him yeah but wouldn't see him as a long term solution. Bednar is younger. Correct me if i'm wrong here but it appears to me that from what i've seen of Fuller, he likes to run in behind but is also adept at dropping deep to look for the ball. Is that a fair comment?
He also appears to enjoy cutting in from wide positions (Henry-esque! ;D )
Like i stated before, he's a good player at this level and will score goals. The same applies for Bednar.

He picked the ball up less than 20 yards from our own box, ran up the pitch leaving two defenders in his wake and hammered the ball in with a low cross shot. It was typical Fuller, he loves to run at players from anywhere on the pitch. Frustrating sometimes but always fun to watch. The only things we have to worry about with Fuller are his temperament and his knees. Redknap stated that he could never pass a conventional medical. If either of them snap, his career could be over. One from being in jail on ABH charges and the other cause he can't walk anymore. He seems to have the temper under control this year although his tantrums at Ipswich were a sight to behold by all accounts.

I know nothing about Bednar but Fuller is VERY strong - loves to run at players but is also very happy to stand on the shoulder of defenders.
Always looks knackered but has a great turn of speed whenever there is a sniff of a goal scoring opportunity.
Does not do his fair share of hassling the opposing defence (aka sidibe) but makes up for it in his goals and flair.
Great player for stoke - best goal scorer since Mark Stein?
