Dye his hair.
Remove the chip adorning his shoulder.
Lock him in a cell with Abdoulaye, so he may be indoctrinated into the ways of "The Stoke"
Simples (insert meerkat thing)

It was a bit weird how Pulis described these "off-pitch issues".
We all kind of assumed it was just his family not settling 'round here.
But the way Pulis talks, looks like it may be more serious than we thought?
Maybe much more than simple family homesickness?
"He has LOTS of issues off the pitch and lots of things going on. I'm hoping they've cleared up and he has a sounder background away from the club"
"I told Steve about the issues that he had off the pitch, but he was still willing to take a chance.
"Now we have to clear all that up and get him back to what he does best, and that's playing football."

He couldn't decide whether to have brown sauce or tomato sauce on his Oatcakes. A common dilema.

news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/stoke_city/8049940.stmYeah, it's possibly a bit naughty of Pulis to allude to stuff like that and open a can of worms. But it does seem to hint at the cause of his unhappiness being more than the way he was being used by Pulis and his family not liking it up here. It's possible that whatever it is that was troubling him has not cleared up as his form at Reading has been dire too?

Like you say even when he went back he scored that one goal but he still looked off the boil.I think if pulis is to actually give kitson another chance he will have enough time to adress his off the pitch issues and the pre season may boost his confidence.

Does seem a bit intriguing doesn't it? "Lots of off the pitch issues"... TP has opened up a can of worms saying that..but if TP were to offer him a bit of counselling/support he may be able to help and sort Daves "off the pitch issues" out..whilst we carry on paying his wages... What other option is there?

Good manager yes, natural salesman no!! Tony you were project manager and got the fundamentals of PR, Sales and advertising all wrong so, with regret,......you're fired! rest of you, back to the house!

Maybe this is a clue to why Kitson didn't get on too well at Stoke: www.guardian.co.uk/football/2007/dec/29/newsstory.reading"His team-mates ought to be an easier option but he admits to "frustrations" when trying to strike up conversation with people who do not share the same interests. "I'm not particularly good at communicating with them and talking to them because I just find I have nothing in common" I like Kitson but this isn't gonna help his cause if he don't get on with his team mates.

Liam was banging his lady..... Apparently what does wifey look like? Just after we signed him i met a bloke who's met him several times in social situations. Said that he was a bit of a wierd guy, very straight laced. He met his current wife when he was dead young, and he said she doesn't quite fit in with the other wags, which i took to mean she was a dog.

If you wanna hang out youve got to take her out; cocaine. If you wanna get down, down on the ground; cocaine. She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.
If you got bad news, you wanna kick them blues; cocaine. When your day is done and you wanna run; cocaine. She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.
If your thing is gone and you wanna ride on; cocaine. Dont forget this fact, you cant get it back; cocaine. She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.
He's addicted to Eric Clapton CD's apparently.

Sounds like a serious marital to me then, but I don't think Tone would have mentioned it in the press by accident, there's got to be a bit of an agenda there.

I live a stones throw from where Kitson was living and i don't confess to know any inside info or anything but it was common knowledge that his missus hated it up here, also the fact that he is not allowed to drive restricts him more or less to where he lives. When he was out and about he was nothing but a top lad, always spoke to stoke fans and never once slagged the team or pulis off.
In fact he was out in town after we beat Arsenal with Griff and lads were asking him all kinds of stuff, one of his comments was 'How can i have a go at the manager when we beat Arsenal and how well we had played'.
I dont dispute that he has not always covered himself in glory, but dont believe all of the bitching.

Reading that guardian interview, It would suprise me if the £5.5m price tag caused some issue with him
"My biggest motivation is to say, "This guy cost £10m and he's won God knows what. Well, I'm Dave Kitson, I cost £150,000 from Cambridge and I ran the show today'."

fradley homes talks sense here
sometimes moves just dont work out doesnt mean either the player or the club are behaving like twats
sometimes players do nowt for ages - seasons even & then come good.e,g, Simon Sturridge did nowt & then he clicked with Sheron & bang what a good player he was.
you just never know Kitson may prove himself next season after a good break.
